    No clue if the quad recipes involved are the same between The Scribe & 4 Happiness, but at a minimum The Scribe was fruited while 4 Happiness wasn't. The Pulling Nails 10 description includes mention of a collaboration quad which I'd always assumed to be a remake of 4 Happiness.

    With the news of The New Scribe I decided to crack a Pulling Nails 10. With some age on it I think this is getting a lot closer to a worthy successor to The Scribe so I'm very excited to see where the new version lands. And if it winds up being a PN14, great! It'll be easier to pick up then.

    But more important than all of that a new Orviamo was brewed a couple of weeks ago

    It suddenly strikes me how odd it is SP doesn't seem to have ever dabbled in making a clean quad...have they? I've had a few American takes on quads that were actually stunning, with barrel treatments sometimes making them even more impressive. Seems like an absolute shoo-in for a brewery with their track record, and could be a significant enough departure style-wise to help set it apart from their barleywine, stout and "adambier" entries.

    Hey man, I appreciate your, for lack of a better term here after a really long day, contrarian takes in this thread. This is coming from someone who has really enjoyed a significant majority of SP/Shared beers that I've had over the last 4-5 years.

    EDIT: checks Untappd. June 3, 2017. Bierre du Pays b5. First Side Project beer I'm aware of having. I remember a good friend of mine who lives in StL sending me an article about them around 2014 or so. Sounded like a lot of work to get their beer so didn't dwell on it much at that time...

    Agreed. Especially because my wife & I have bugged Cory about it a bunch (it was our first release, probably still her favorite SP beer, we opened one at our wedding, etc) and the answer has always been varying degrees of "it probably won't happen"

    yea that makes 3 crazy beers in the pipeline! Not to mention that 375 double stout they teased recently. They said they were backed up, sounds like we are about to get a string if cool stuff! And i say bring it on!

    Would guess that QC on OdB v2016 means a new batch soon, it's typically been around this time of year for the last few batches.

    crazy because SP never seems to have any kind of release schedule but OdB has to be the most consistent of them all. it’s like clockwork every winter (Jan-Feb).
