    Fellow BA's, today is my 10th anniversary as a member of this forum. It was important enough for me to pull a Blessed B2 out of my cellar and set it aside for tonight. I know I can be abrasive and ruffle feathers, but I want to thank everyone here who makes this place what it is, especially @Todd for giving beer nerds like us a place to opine and vent regarding this passion of ours.

    So cheers to everyone here, I'll be cracking open that blessed tonight and hopefully seeing you glorious folks at the virtual bar!



    And, true to my ways, I forgot to include I am sipping on a NA UA Florida Weiss this morning in celebration. Sheesh.

    Wow, slow start to the dayo, and thanks for kicking things off @SFACRKnight ...
    as you might guess, yep, the usual suspect (or one of them) following a FRIGID 5.6 mile run. Just slow, careful, icy step recovery pace today. Can't run if you break your coccyx. :wink:

    Did a chilly hike this morning at our local metropark - easier walking than Tuesday, when the deep snow was really tough to walk in.....also brought a hiking staff to support this old geezer...

    Full treatment in the Cellar Review thread, long story short, this likely faded a bit, but works for my taste preferences. It is balanced, surprisingly light and easy despite the 10.5% ABV (at least approaching the 1/2 mark).

    Not sure I'm braving cold or ice like @eppCOS or @BeerVikingSailor , at least until we see the 20s later this week. Cleaning and getting organized before my Vegas trip, sadly cancelled an additional Long Beach/San Diego 1-2 week leg, perhaps this Fall or next year. My brother picked up Beachwood Mega Melrose as a consolation prize for me, can't wait to try next week!

    Sparkling clear, golden body; outstanding carbonation, dense and lively; 1 1/2 finger-thick head, white and frothy. Outstanding aroma of bread crust and cracker; spicy, herbal hop aroma. Light malt base flavor with a moderate hop bitterness; clean tasting; mineral-like. Moderate mouthfeel; smooth and silky with a slightly crisp, subtly dry finish.

    In my opinion, this is a Czech-style pilsner done right. Balanced and refreshing.

    I'm having a KBS Espresso. I was very excited to try this one. There's a ton of coffee/espresso with some underlying dark chocolate. Unfortunately, there's really not much bourbon or barrel to be found. A bit disappointing, but it's another one off of my bucket list.
