    'Evening all, or more likely for most of you, 'morning, from the land down under.

    This evening's beer is Darker Than Blue by La Calavera from Spain. It's sweet, sticky, has a mouthful of dates and toffee, and went down smoothly even with its 8.5% ABV letting you know who's boss. Probably not the best choice for a 30 degree (86f) day, but it wasn't going to drink itself.

    Hope you all enjoy a great Friday and your beer hits whichever spot it is you're aiming at.

    Good morning everyone and happy Friday!
    This is not really NOW, but last night after work, in front of the match seen on TV since with the new restrictions that have reduced the admissions for spectators to 5000, who knows when it will be possible to cheer safely and without thoughts...

    Birrificio Italiano (lombardia, ITA) -TIPOPILS - Italian Pilsner (5,2%)

    Maybe someone knows this, it has been widely exported and a source of inspiration for many who have recognized her as the mother of all Italian style Pilsner.
    I know that he renounced exporting to the USA when in 2020, the customs laws of territorial jurisdiction prevented a product from leaving that was not already "packaged", then bottled or keg, when in reality this beer was subjected to a further dry hopping once it has landed in your neck of the woods, precisely to keep its organoleptic characteristics as unaltered as possible.

    You guys get Spanish craft beer down under?Impressive. We don't get any (that I know of) here in the US East Coast, despite being closer to the source. Macro yes but not micro. Had some Basqueland IPA when I was in Europe last summer and enjoyed it.

    A delicious beer indeed. Had some of it here (like you said, the version that gets shipped here in tanks and gets dry hopped pre-packaging). What match were you watching by the way?

    This one comes from a subscription pack that focuses on beers from overseas, and the distributor of that pack is a speciality importer and has distribution rights from La Calavera, so the packs see beers from them quite regularly. Other than that, you won't see anything Spanish other than the big macros here for the most part either.

    Great match! I was busy watching Arsenal - Liverpool and Bilbao - Barcelona but I enjoyed the highlights. Sorry to say but it's hard to follow Roma after losing totti, de rossi, dzeko, florenzi...

    Totti is one of my favorite players, true legend!
