Ryeway to Heaven definitely seems to be the best of the 3 potential Rev beers showing up on feeds. There's always the slim possibility it will show up in other feeds later, so I'm holding out hope for that I guess. Love me some rye barrels.
I've seen Ryeway across the river in WI exactly twice & bought it both times, but I'm a rye fiend & always want more of this beer. It hasn't shown up in my Tavour feed but, like Cafe Deth, if it does, I'll buy the maximum.
Same here -- mine disappeared from my feed in an hour. Now Maple Jacket is up. I still had to order a few to try, but this time I'll save my wallet some pain and not buy the max. Excited about all the Rev coming through my feed lately!
It's a really unique beer. If one approaches it with an open mind I think they will like it, but it certainly is not for everyone.
Latest update: I received an email on January 12 that there was an “emergency delay”, and the package was still in Portland at this point. Updated arrival in the app is now Jan 18-20, and it looks like my package was checked in at Illinois yesterday. Bit of an overshoot since that is east (**consults map**); yes EAST of Minnesota, but good to see it seems to be moving quickly now. At this point I will just feel relieved if/when I have the bottles in hand and intact.
Pleasantly surprised by Tavour, or really, the new local courier. My crate left Tavour January 11th and was delivered by the local courier yesterday, January 17th. Naturally, I'm waiting on a damn COVID test (it's been four days), and had the beer dropped at my office. May have to dip into an Anchorage barleywine this weekend. Eager to see how everything was packaged.
Yikes. I do wonder how the logistics work in getting crates to local couriers. Do they have to use local couriers to pass crates along, or is there another level of shipping that delivers to local couriers?
I'm not sure how it works but my last 3 boxes arrived fairly quickly im thinking like a week after being shipped. Had a few Hop Butchers in there I'd like sooner rather than later but it is what it is just hope it gets here safe and sound!
Well...No Sleep has barleywine and coffee. But it's blended with stout and has maple syrup and vanilla. Easy pass.
I saw that $53 (up $3 now) bottle, and when I saw the flavor additions immediately closed the app. It's still available in my market.
Still no bottles here as of January 24. The app now indicates "Shipped" and has been saying since last week that it was delivered to the local service on January 20. However, when I called the local delivery service today, they were clear that the Tavour shipment absolutely had NOT arrived to them yet, and that they were anxiously awaiting it as well. Tavour did not respond to the email I sent them on January 20 asking what is going on with this crate that closed on December 27. I just emailed them again today, asking the same question and mentioning what the local delivery service told me. Not a great customer experience.
Not happy about the price hike. It could be a result of inflation, or it could be Anchorage trying to price creep. I hope it's not the latter. They're expensive as it is, can we not have an eff you 3 dollar increase.
