Straight Jacket is fantastic AND still available!
In fact, there are 11 Deep Wood beers still available, with VSOR being the only Deep Wood beer selling out in this season of Deep Wood. (I like to say Deep Wood...)
AND others still available like DDH RH3000 Hero, DDH Citra Hero, Coffee Eugene, Bahpomet Bock, Repo Man Rye Stout, etc...
The challenge on Friday will be to NOT purchase any additional beer "to go", but if I'm there, and can get Rewards Points...
Maybe I should let my neighbor @tiffman be my proxy instead of me being his.

 

I have a decent amount of reward points because the system wasn't working the last time so excited for some more "free" beer.

 

Time to cash in some rewards points to get a few 4-packs of Baphomet and more Blackberry Finn. How is it possible that something like the latter was released two months ago with a 2 4-pack limit and it's still available today?! Blows my mind, but I'm here for it. I'll take whatever's left.

 

How is Baph? Held off getting it because I didn't want to overload my shipment with too many packs.

 

Baphomet is just a super bock - very balanced and tasty. I passed on it at first, then @tiffman gave me a can, and now I'm getting a 4pk on Friday.

 

I haven't had this batch, so I'd be interested to hear from others about it. But I loved the first canned run of Baphomet; I thought it was very well balanced between bready notes, malty sweetness, crisp lagery brightness, and some light hop character.

 

This happened to me last release so I emailed them & they said no need to let them know, just forward your email to your proxy because that will have your name & order id included

 

Exactly. They do NOT want to make it hard, and they DO want proxies to help limit the number of folks coming by.

 

It's fantastic. Pick up a few 4 packs. I'm 12 cans in this season and loving every evil sip of it.

Speaking of that series... anyone tried Freedom Lemonade yet?

 

That sounds like a euphemism for something else.

 

Yeah. It's a fine beer, but it's the wrong season for it. I'd be way more likely to drink them in the summer, but I had one can and haven't gone back to the rest yet. I bought it thinking my wife would enjoy it, but she felt the same. Wish I would have purchased more Baphomet instead.

 

I got my wife a 5oz taster and she said that was enough and compared it to 312 Shandy. Too much lemonade and not enough beer.

 

I got a buddy to pick me up some Tarry Night and I heard about one other single barrel VSOD that was a Beer Temple Collaboration. Does anyone know if there any others made that I might not be aware of?
