That's an exceptional price for the Hopslam. Last time we got cans of it out here (3 or 4 years ago), I'm fairly certain that 4 packs were in excess of $20. And Portland Oregon prices are typically considered to be fairly low, compared to other parts of the country.

I was pleasantly surprised. Yeah the six packs were around $20. I was also happy to get a four pack of 16 oz Two Hearted for $8.99 last weekend at a local store.

Been seeing a lot of positive reviews on social media of Double NN.

On a side note - had a can of NN again last night and it was great. Seems like maybe it’s a canning issue? The bottles seems to get the best reviews.

Every single day I find another reason to hate Pennsylvania :stuck_out_tongue:

Know you’re joking (somewhat), but this is one of the only “bad” things about PA IMO. We have it pretty good here - beer (not price of course lol), food, scenery, 4 seasons, etc. Off topic, but just rambling on lol.

Ha ha yes no place is perfect but when it comes to some of our prices (beer, gas, etc.) we are not doing too well.

Well, I do not know where you are sitting here but I will 'trade' paying those prices over the Jersey income and municipal taxes any day.

    Cheers!

    Strongly agree with this guy.

If you've been on BA for 10 years go revist a handful of shelfies you rated when you first joined. I do 180s on these beers for better or worse all the time when I revisit. Tastes change and the power of persuasion is pretty strong.

I really want to agree with you, but then I think about another beer I buy more than one six-pack of each year when it comes out: Sierra Nevada Celebration. Celebration does differ from year to year, of course, depending on the hop crop, but it always tastes very consistent to me across six-packs with different brewing dates; Nugget Nectar does not. I think the complaints on these NN threads every year are on to something. It's a real mystery, though, as to why Troegs seems to have a problem with this one beer. I used to buy Hop Knife each fall and never thought it tasted off-- every year it tasted just like I remembered.

That is how I was with Double Blizzard, wasn't looking for it but came across it and tried it, glad that I did.

    Which version do you prefer?

This seems to be a consensus in WBAYDN as well. I’ve seen several very positive reactions to it. I’m not sure if it will show up in NJ though.

based on what I just tasted the double. But its also Friday and my first beer of the week so doesn't that one always taste best? I can report back in the future when I visit it a few more times.
