Worst Beer Protips?

I personally love that shape of glass; seems to hold the beer’s aroma as well as it is stable on many surfaces (I’m a little clumsy)…

But, OP, there’s absolutely nothing PRO about a frozen glass.

 

"Pro" in that case short for "PROblematic", perhaps? But I guess it is Texas where it gets hot so maybe a beer poured into a frozen glass in the kitchen and carried out back to the deck might be 40-45° soon enough?

Those can-shaped glasses are cute novelties, but I wouldn't want to drink out one. (Own a couple - one's got pens and pencils in it out in the garage - but never poured a beer into one.)

And I see people call certain glasses "ale glasses" on here, I guess they're talking about one of those weird shaped ones that looks like the Samuel Adams "perfect pint" with a ribbed bottom half? Not sure how one glass might work better than another based on the yeast used to ferment the beer.

 

Worst pro-tip I heard was roll the can for a NEIPA. Or for that matter, drink from the can for a NEIPA. That sludge is the worst and can ruin the whole experience.

I choose to use my can shaped glass for a number of beer styles: my homebrewed Bitter Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Porters,...

To each their own my friend, I find it astringent as all hell and it ruins my throat and the whole drinking experience for me.

 

Pro tip? Leave your smoothie sours out in the warm, no way they'll explode!

 

There are other things about this glass that suggests to me these people aren't that bright.

Was gonna say, "Well, everything is at least spelled correctly..." and then I noticed the missing apostrophe in "DONT".

 

Worst protip I've heard: drink a can of NE IPA.

 

So do roll the can, just roll it to the next guy and let him drink it.

Don't store your beer horizontally/vertically instantly came to mind.

Pretty much any opinion presented as fact.

Its also weird when someone dislikes CA/TX beer bc thinly veiled politics. Keep crying. I'll be here drinking Russian River and Live Oak not GAF.

 

A couple breweries around here serve in the can glass. They're better than shakers, but not by a lot.
