Toppling Goliath DDH King Sue DIPA (Citra). After having these Chicago IPA's, I figured I should see how this monster stacks up. It's better. Drippy Citra goodness.

 

Been looking forward to this for a few weeks after my brother picked up a four pack prior to my trip.

Beachwood Mega Melrose



Full review in New Beer Weekend. Bottom line, Melrose is one of my top 10 or so beers of all time, and this beer less up to those lofty expectations!

 

You know what I got on-hand - it's this or Rum Barrel Duvel or gin...

I'll probably back off after this sixer - could see my self buying it again after an off-week or two, if its still around - then again, I could end up buying another sixer next time I shop (*meaningless mental meanderings*)... Gotta imagine this sixer goes quick... lol

Spinning Black Coffee by Johnny Hammond Smith. I'm not coordinated enough to do this, but should have picked up a coffee stout of some kind, but oh well, next time. For now, just the excellent Spencer Monks' Reserve.

 

Still snowing like crazy. Lots of shoveling tomorrow. Having a pint of Tiddly from Fox Farm (a dark mild) and enjoying it immensely.

I am glad that beer still held up. I was concerned that you would have an unfavorable beer so close to that pool.

Good evening all. Good to see things going strong tonight. Spent the last 13hrs banging out overdue house projects while the storm blows outside.

Granted I'm parched, but this new one just release from Modest Man is quenching wonderfully!

 

Starting the evening off with a new one for me - Prost -Winter Lager - This is quite nice
