    New Beer Day here on the West Coast. Final night at this hotel, have two bonus days due to the free flight change (used points for 1 of 2 of the extra nights I’m staying) to avoid the return to Chicago weather and other nonsense. Paired with leftover Gorgonzola Fries.

    Currently drinking Big Job DIPA from St Austell brewery. This drinks like a classic WCIPA and has nothing to be ashamed of. Very quaffable and refreshing:

    Shanex just doesn’t care and is going to sample a second, back to back beer in this thread.

    Paix Dieu, an excellent Tripel from Belgium, and 10%abv. Top tier tripel, smooth. Heavy ABV and yet drinkable. Gotta love Belgium.

    Good day BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for starting today's thread! And thanks @TCgenny and @russpowell for the welcome back! That "Dry January" was kind of a lost month - one helluva lot of time on my computer and watching TV - thank Dog for The Closer, Major Crimes, and Midsomer Murders! On 1 Jan I inventoried my beer cellar/reefers and rearranged containers so I can actually find stuff - after that I just sat and twitched until 1 Feb. An excellent example of "one and done"!
    Today's New Breakfast Beer is:

    Oops! Postimages seems to be temporarily dead. Well anyway, today's New Breakfast Beer is Flying Dog's Peppermint Bark Stout. Mediocre at best - fermented artificial flavoring - below FD's usual high standards. But the chocolate comes through and the lacing is OK. Rating 3.4, rDev -7.6%.

    Working from home due to one of those blizzards that seems to hit at the beginning of every couple of February’s. Probably going to skip going downtown to the AEW show as well tonight, since we’re supposed to be getting hit all day. For now, a little breakfast beverage.

    Doing the cellar raid thing... I don't stash most beer for long periods unless it's dark and heavy and high ABV.
    Mostly it's digging out the recent seasonals that I just didn't get through. So seems appropriate to knock off one of my last 2 O'fests.
    Paulaner Oktoberfest (Marzen), the darker style that I prefer.
    6-7" of snow on the ground, beautiful out, but no run today. I'd like to stay upright, and warm.

    Good morning BAs! Yesterday was my 7th anniversary on BA, and today is my birthday. I’m at the hotel drinking a Hopslam, canned 1/12/22. Postimage is down this morning so no photo.

    My trial settled last night, so I’ll drive back to St. Pete later today. I’ll probably grab a beer on the way home. Happy Groundhogs Day!
