    World Beer Awards from Travelbook

Spoiler: Germany is not the leading nation.

I'm sure this list will not be accepted by everyone and it could come down best two out of three falls in the bar. I'm reasonably sure I've not tasted any of these beers but at least if I see any of them, I might try it.

Travelbook had a great article about best socks to wear with sandles that I really loved...

For some strange reason I can’t understand anything they are saying in the article. How many beers did they try on their way to deciding these are the 9 best?

Hey the Estonians are knocking it out of the park already. Maybe eastern Europe is the next home of great stouts

Two pretty disparate countries (wasn't Estonia a port for Imperial Stout back when?), but who knows?

What!?! Are you going to keep us in suspense?

Which socks do you wear with your sandals (Birkenstocks I presume)?

    Cheers!

Look, I live in the American west and went to American public schools. I'm pretty sure that all of Europe would fit in Texas and that the only difference between the Baltic and the Balkans is an accent. I could probly huck this steak from Estonia to Serbia.

I am also a millennial, so I won't stand for your aggressive use of history, geography, and logic!

I definitely hadn't thought about the Baltic countries' history of involvement moving stout British beers. I'm curious now about the history of strong dark beers in that region now.

I've long wondered how a Strong Lager became known as a Baltic Porter. The "Baltic States" are sorta, but not really close Germany. Does Poland have a history of strong Lagers too?

Decent, quick history. And it mentions Poland! Also, I'm pretty sure Poland is the home land of many of those super high proof lagers that are marketed like American malt liquor

Given that it's only 3 paragraphs or so I'm assuming it left out a fair bit
