    Hey guys

I'm pondering a trip to Vancouver and Victoria/Langford via Abbotsford to watch a pair of soccer games and thought I'd ask if anyone in the area has any beer recommendations or perhaps wanted to do some in person trading during the trip. It's not concrete yet, but thought I would float the question.

EDIT: Actually scratch the trading part, I may not be bringing luggage for the trip.

Thanks for the tip. My first day depends on what some friends are doing in terms of travel.

If I do end up spending the first night in Abbotsford, that would certainly be a thought (and maybe catching a Hockey game out there too).

Herald St. in Victoria is the best brewery in B.C. especially their saisons and lagers.

This is a very bold claim.

I'm fond of Brassneck in Vancouver. And, @JonnyBeers is to be trusted in these matters. The dude knows his way around the beer up there!

If you are traveling Hwy 15 to get to the Ferry, you will pass by Four Winds Brewery/Shop/Tap house in Delta. it's less than 5 minutes off the highway.
Four beers in the Top 10 Beers in BC, so might be worth it to get a growler of something and one of their seasonal choices in cans. Note they are pricier than other craft options in the Province.

Thanks for the help guys, I didn't manage to get to Superflux, and had a rush to Fieldhouse as my flight got delayed (I swear, I've yet to have a flight out of or into Pearson not experience a delay) but had some exceptional beers from Driftwood, Hearald Street, Spinakers and Hoyne and managed to pick up some stuff at the local store.

I'd say Driftwood was the champ after everything was said and done, and I still have some bombers in the fridge, but all in all the stuff I had was great, save one from Whistler I had at the Airport going home.

Either way, thanks again guys, I'll probably make a similar Winnipeg advice thread in the near future.

I'm heading up to Vancouver and Whistler in August for five days. Two nights in the city (airbnb in East Van) and then three nights at Nita Lake Lodge. I used to go up to Vancouver a couple times a year, but then Covid hit and I haven't really paid attention to the changes up North since. Sounds like Temporal is no longer on site at Luppolo, right? Would love to try their stuff. Definitely hitting brunch at Alibi Room, stop in at Superflux since it's near where we're staying and hope to make it out to Port Moody.

Temporal is now running out of Container (Void series for Barleywine and Stouts) and House of Funk (future sour releases TBD or coming soon?) You aren't too likely to find anything on tap as far as I know, maybe on release days, which would be announced on Temporal Instagram. So far there have been 2 Void releases, 1 day only with the release beers on tap that day.

Everything seems to be back to open normal hours, but there's the occasionally 'have to close today' for various reasons. Again, social media is your best bet, most breweries up here are pretty good about updating Instagram especially.

Anything new since 2020 that you’d recommend hitting? I really haven’t stayed on top of the scene up there since Covid hit. Also looks like we can order directly from Temporal so maybe I’ll try to coordinate an order with our Airbnb this August if anything is available.

Hmm I can't really think what new opened since then. Studio Brewing would be worth going to check out, it's on the train line just past Metrotown a short walk.
Temporal still has some stuff on Beervan but dunno if the new ones will be there or not. That was all via Luppolo. Contract brewing rules up here are pretty strict.

Heading up on the 19th. Two nights in Vancouver and three nights in Whistler. My plan is:

Quick stop in Port Moody on the way into town for Twin Sails and Yellow Dog. Never made it out to Port Moody before.
Superflux and Slowhand in Vancouver. I've been to most of the well known pre-2020 breweries in Vancouver previously. Sounds like Temporal is brewing saisons out of Slowhand right now so maybe I can get lucky and find something.
    Backcountry in Squamish.
    Coastal Mountain in Whistler.

I'll probably grab cans at the Vancouver/PM breweries and Brewery Creek so I've got evening beer for the AirBNB. Anything else should I hit?
