All apologies to @xenjoiii but there was no ‘22 thread and if there’s anything brewery-wise he wants to add (because, knock on wood, everything looks like it’s finally coming together in Copaigue) that’s completely up to him.

Anywho…decided to finally take the plunge and drive to Queens, because this DIPA series with the NYS honey sounds amazing and it’s been a minute since I had a R+B beer so I’m long overdue. Can’t wait to try it!

Does anyone know the story of R+B & Twelve Percent? Would love to get distro in New Haven again.

We still work with them. However, it’s been about two years since we’ve sent them any beer for distribution. We don’t have the liquid!

We’re close. It’s looking like brewing in March and opening up shop in April.

I've had the past couple R&B releases and they've been amazing. Society of Spectacle may have been my favorite IPA last year but I'm partial to citra. It's disappointing that some of my past local favorites haven't scaled well but R&B has easily taken their spot.

To CT, no. We never had plans to distribute outside of New York.

I love these people on IG who try to tell you when’s best to sell your beer. Pretty audacious actually.

Can’t wait for the brewery to open. Hope everything goes well with the new system. Making a big leap like that has its challenges with replicating quality, but I have faith r+b will deliver.

I hope NYC will get some distribution. I'm going to miss the releases at Evil Twin. Maybe I'll make it out to LI if there's some kind of grand opening in the works

You see quality drop when there is a change of hands on who is making the beer. It has very little to do with a brewing, in my opinion. .
I’ve maintained a consistent standard of quality for over 3 years brewing my recipes at 5 different breweries (5 different brewing systems ranging from two vessel to 5 vessel; and 7bbl to 40bbl in capacity) in two different states.

Our new brewing system is a mirror to what I am currently working on at Evil Twin, albeit 5bbls smaller (10bbl system).

Aside from me brewing, the only other person working with me on the beers is someone who I’ve been working with for the entire lifespan of R+B. He was working a cellar/canning line position at GSB then transitioned over to ETNYC. He plans on following me over to R+B once we start brewing next month.

Nice man. I’ll take you’re word for it. I would think that changing size or system could maybe produce at least some slight changes that could be dialed in. I’m sure with your experience you’re able to account for variances ahead of time.

Traveling to NYC in a few weeks and staying in East Village. Am I able to get R+B cans anywhere? If not, any places that commonly have drafts of theirs? Thanks!

Cans no, but for draft recommend checking Proletariat - if venturing into Brooklyn, both Evil Twin locations usually have a recent release on tap

Evil Twin would be more reliable for draft. Proletariat sometimes has R+B. Still a great bar and definitely recommend you visit

Can releases are every other Thursday - pick up runs Friday-Wednesday for each release at ET Ridgewood. For draft, outside of ET’s locations, we occasionally send draft to Proletariat.

The Thursday pre-sale drops at no specific time, correct? R+B website says it’s “arbitrary”. Any suggestions based on prior history. Or just refresh the page every 5 mins for a day
