    Ok. Well I’m getting a lot of private messages with offers as well. So if anyone is interested just shoot me a message with what you think is fair offer and then I’ll pick one tomorrow. My dad and I each have a bottle of VB so I’m going to trade one and we will share what we get from it. I guess it doesn’t need to be top 25.

    I can also sweeten the deal with some new glarus Belgium red, regular assassin, and morning delight if someone wants to do a mega trade.

    out of the top 50 or so beers we had KBBS, heady topper, mornin delight, cbs, assassin, parabola, westy 12. So not interested in those

    Just a friendly heads up: auctions are generally frowned upon in the beer trading world. It sounds like people are happy to bid here because they're looking for a "good deal" given that you seem pretty unaware of the value of the beer that you're trading, but probably a good idea to keep this in mind in the future.

    Next time, figuring out more specifically what you're looking for before posting (i.e. what you think is fair) is a better way to go about trading. Good luck!

    I’m aware of the value. I just have not had a lot of the top beers so I don’t have anything specific I was trying to get.

    The auction was suggested to me, and I didn’t see anything in the rules against it, so I rolled with it.

    If you're aware of the value, then it's typically preferred here that you post a closer approximation of what you're looking for instead of asking for a litany of offers and asking others to offer whatever they think is fair.

    People only suggested a public auction for the entertainment value, as -once again- it's typically frowned upon... and people are only participating it (or at least the majority them, I'd guess) because they want to take advantage of someone who has a beer that would typically go for much more than you seem to be wanting.

    Again, not trying to be a jerk! You're right that it's not a technical rule (or at least I don't think it is). Just wanted to let you know "unspoken rules" for future notice.
