DAB in 500 ml cans is cheaper than the 12 oz bottles when I can find it. Beck's has the same situation, but I don't really buy it since it moved to USA.

Pabst is my favorite and I like it better than most craft beers. It’s cheap as well

Are you noticing a freshness difference? I know the bottles are semi-covered, but the cans are definitely more skunk-protective.

Yet to see cans in my area. Fingers crossed.

Good choice, but don't give up on the craft beers. Welcome to the BA site where we respect all beers and member choices.

Fresh malt and vibrant hop aroma. Better than the bottles which move off the shelves quickly around here.

Surprised no one has mentioned Olde Mecklenburg out of NC yet. When I was down in Nc last year Icould find in grocery stores for very reasonable price on par with Von Trappe and Jacks Abbey. These maynot help the West Coasters with their search.

Benediktiner. Okocim. Veltins, Zywiec. Kostritzer. 4 packs are anywhere from $5-$7. I can go on and on.

I like literally everything though including PBR and Narragansett for the price point those are great as everyone knows.

No. This was a 12 pack of 500ml cans. They were great.

Zywiec and okocim are from Poland and if you happen to have a high eastern euro demographic anywhere near you I’m sure you’ll find them. Watch the dates on those they get funky and diacetyl. A year date or sooner is honestly decent. I’m lucky enough to be near Pennsauken NJ which is high polish demographic and those things go fast so I can find fresh as hell. A little info tho. Zywiec has been called a polish Budweiser. It’s not. And okocim is a gap between a euro pale generic style and a Czech pils.

PS Lech is even cheaper and not as good but still a $6 four pack tall boys is what it is

Store 3 miles to the east has cans now. Store 3 miles to the west still has bottles... little by little.

@FBarber -- Wernesgruner is the beer-of-the-month at Aldi, a dollar off for the 4-pack.

Sorry, saw it but didn't grab it. Too much beer stacked up from January -- couldn't justify another purchase.

    Soon, though.

It is a very nice German pilsner. I picked up a 4-pack for the game this afternoon.

For a cheap pale lager, my go to is Stella Artois. Those delicate floral and honey flavors.

In all honesty, I think the difference in price between most lagers is rather negligible and you should keep trying them until you find one that you really like. The $7.99 a six pack versus the $9.99 is not worth the compromise.

starting to realize this after 16 beers into a rolling rock 30 pack. It’s crap.

I agree with that price point. But around here there's too many $17 4 packs of pilsner.
