my lake is starting to open up a little - river current flows from right to left in this pic - the water movement causes it to "un-freeze" sooner than the rest of the lake



we get tons of migratory waterfowl stopping over on the lake here every late Feb - March - this will be the first year in 9 years I have been here, that I will be home and not working to see it!

And the mighty Tuscarawas - just 1/2 mile or so downstream of our lake, where we often walk along the river....

Super Bowl pre-gaming with some shared Boss Tweed. I’m enjoying this more than I did another bu the same brewery, though that was a while ago.


This Sunday is just like a second Saturday, given the number of call-outs businesses can expect tomorrow.

champagne of beers while my apples cool. I’m making donuts for a super bowl party. Funny story I made the same donuts for a Labor Day party in Bristol Pennsylvania couple weeks go by and my buddies in a bar talking about them. This was a pretty big party bristol is not a big town and he says about 10 minutes later some old head a friend of a friend of a friend brings up the donuts as well. Word-of-mouth got around and now people are offering to buy them just like my pizza.

do I rip the bandaid off and take the risk? Everybody tells me how worth it is in the long run if you see a New York style bakery doing pizza to go in bucks county then you know who it is.

As for the Super Bowl™ I have sentimental reasons to choose Cincinnati, but sentiment doesn’t feed the bulldog. My pick for the big game is take the over. It’s a big number (48.5) but the striped shirts should keep the offenses moving the chains.

Prop bet: National anthem over-under is 1:35. Only Mickey Guyton knows this one. I’ll take the over here too.

13yr Barton Put a Bird on It is legit, and the Valentine's beer with strawberry fluff is surprisingly tasty.

 

Was running out of room so had to pull this out. Shame the label got dirty! Wanted to keep it after.

Lemon with an aftertaste of rosemary. Super pleasant. More honey as it sits.
