What beer are you drinking now? #3404

Thanks for kicking off the thread today @Shanex , and lovely picture of you and the Misses.

I continue to work through the cellar, though sadly down two bottles, one which crashed to the floor and broke yesterday evening (Port Brewing Old Viscosity Ale - Bottled 9/8/17), the fourth beer I've lost to the ravages of gravity over my 7 plus years of craft brewing enjoyment.

Thankfully this bottle survived, including hacking away at the significant wax just to open.

FiftyFifty Brewing Imperial Eclipse Stout - Templeton Rye (2016)



Full review here. This held up very well since bottling in 2016, including proper cellaring both by the store I purchased this at the start of COVID closures in early Spring 2020, through my possession. Full review here, bottom line, this beer is great and I can't wait to dive into the next four bottles.

Starting off sunny and 7 degrees - too bad we get so many sunny days in Jan/Feb and so few in Jun/Jul. Today's New Breakfast Beer is from the Halftime/BA Extreme Beer Box:

Good Monday BA's! Off today because i have to burn 14 hours of vacation by this Thursday or lose it. I trust everyone had an enjoyable super bowl evening. I'm happy for Stafford, finally with a team where his talent can be showcased. Emptying coolers from last night and the Where the Wild Hops Are jumped into my hand.....

Against my better judgement @Shanex I'll play along....from an award banquet at work last year. The wife is amazing, avid fisherman, sun lover, cook and researches and plots all our brewery visits......and tolerates me.........

Well I ran out to Sam's for some king crab legs but alas, none were available so I got some sockeye salmon. Oh crap, that may give me the opportunity later to try and create proper grill marks....Six point Invisible Haze....
