It’s a factory for juicy fruit gum and an alligator pond to keep you away or tempt you.

Nates secret is the gum, not the yeast

So can you do orders on paper at Deerfield like it used to be at Charlton or is it all 4 and 2 packs and just online ordering?

I miss single can orders. At this point it should be an option. At the beginning of the online ordering era, I understood, but now the process should be down enough to permit buying one can of something

Agree here. I take a trip every month-6 weeks or so-so my orders tend to be quite large, too large sometimes to be honest. It's more than enough cans for me and does allow me to spread the love to friends/trade partners. I'd love to see singles come back as it would really cut down on volume when I don't need it for other than me and of course, cost.

I just don't want to be stuck with multiple cans of something I don't like. For example; I want to buy this coffee barleywine, but I'd rather buy just one. I have to get two, which isn't that bad, but for the cost and risk of not liking it, It's just a little sucky

Agree again. If they didn't go back to singles, I'd love to see 2-packs on everything as an option. One can to worry about versus three if I don't love the beer.

I remember being on Route 20 for something ... Anyway, I just popped in. Ordered six separate cans of beer. The guy was like, "Ummm, oh, like six total?" I think I broke the record for most inexpensive Tree House visit ever (except those one or two times in Brimfield where they just ran out of beer and you walked away empty handed).

This thread just sounds spoiled, now. There aren't too many breweries that allow you to buy singles (especially of hoppy stuff) out there.

Spoiled? I’m saying it would be great if they did it as they used to do. It hasn’t stopped me from visiting and buying a ton of their beer.

Many places did before the pandemic. Plus, all their ordering is done online so having a 1, 2 can option wouldn’t be that crazy. It’s not someone entering an order on an iPad at the brewery.

I agree it would be a great feature (and I’m like 40% kidding here about the “spoiled” part), I’m just not sure it should be the expectation given its (relative lack of) prevalence in the industry.

I don't expect either. I really like their setup, but if I was being spoiled, that would one thing I would love to see return. Fully understanding that while the ordering would be easy online, putting together an order of singles would likely be a nightmare relative to just grabbing 4-packs, etc. for staff.

To counter this.... they offered single cans ever since Charlton opened in 2017 (and before that I'm guessing, but why would you ever get one can with a 6-12 can limit in Monson?). Also, Fox Farm does it

Good call on the "since 2017" point, in my mind I had thought it was just a COVID-era change.

And yeah, I'm aware some other breweries do it -- but I think they're far from the norm.

Hard agree on the single can thing! I like variety, if I want a 4 pack of something I'd rather have it be something I know and love like KJ, Nomad, etc

It’s not on paper, but you can do them there in person. They have several fridges past the check in at the main entrance. The menu is on paper on the counter like a draft list would be. Orders taken by ipad or POS system. I think it’s by four or two pack.

On Sunday I was trying to order a two pack of bigger peach in person. They didn’t have it in those fridges so I had to place it online (while I was on site). After enjoying the drafts, I had to drive around the side of the building to pick up my online orders.

I am afraid not, I once say a guy wait over an hour in line at Charlton to buy 2 cans of KJ. Even my six year old son did a double take...

Thanks. I very weirdly asked the question. I won't know what I exactly want until I get there

Trillium had single cans forever too. This was my favorite thing about both breweries.

Bring it back people. Hell you can most likely add more staff and help some folks to do the grunt work as they always did. Not to mention Canton had self service pick up.

Works just fine for Stoneface down the street from me when I mix cans(Yes, I understand it’s a different level of volume)

Sometimes now I find somewhere that does crowlers and I get all excited to buy 32 oz of beer instead of a four pack.

I never thought I’d feel that way

So if they don't have it right in the fridge they won't go grab it for you? I had a similar situation in Sandwich as they did not have something in the cooler but I asked the staff who came around while we were having pours and it turned out they had some of what I wanted in an order that someone had not picked up so they grabbed it for me and put my name on it in the case so I could get it and pay for it on my way out...
