    Greetings all and happy Sunday!

Maredsous Tripel is in my glass right now. One of the strongest triples there’s in Belgium, though Westmalle or Karmeliet are close, those Belgians are magicians and always manage to hide the strong ABV in their beers in a perfect way. Always well crafted. Bravo.

    Cheers…

Good morning, @Shanex! I’ll be off to my favorite museum in a few hours. One beer before then, however. Happy Sunday, virtual bar brethren!

Happy Palindrome Day Everyone 2/20/22, and thank you @Shanex for kicking the thread off this morning!

From yesterday, thank you @Danmullens1 for your update regarding the year-round availability of 3Sheeps new WCIPA! Definitely worth a trip to Kenosha to pick some up in March when the snow clears. Much obliged!!!

Having a Rye Beer, one of my favorite flavors, and really enjoying this.

Boulevard Rye on Rye (2021 Limited Release)

Full review in the New Beer Sunday #887 thread, the final one in the Year 17 since it was created! Bottom line, if you like or love Rye, buy this immediately. If not, buy it to check it out.

Two of my favorites from the 1973 WXRT Saturday Morning Flashback set played yesterday @mschrei , both featured in the second half of the second hour. May have to come back next week with two more from the third hour.

I challenge the board to come up with two songs from any year better than these.

[IMG] Good Sunday you all. Starting off with this NETIPA sent to me by @jzeilinger 9.5% with Sabro Incognito & Mosaic. Sabro gives off a lot of coconut and I think it goes well with Mosaic. Cheers all.

Didn’t really sleep much last night. Currently watching some Japanese wrestling on a very monumental weekend in the industry across the board (am I right, Micah?) with a 2018 Half Acre Big Hugs.

it’s amazing to me that the guy in the first video below has 24 albums that have sold more than one million, more than any musical act. The second video is from a guy who has the most albums that have sold more than ten million each. And the third video is the act in second place for both.

    cheers everyone...

[IMG] This one is a little undercarbonated, but the flavor is excellent and not too much strawberry and that was my concern. Thank @jzeilinger fir this one.

A cool 54° walk with the dogs, then feeding done…coffee time…finishing off yesterday’s 500ml of “Slippin’, Fallin’ (Can’t Get Up)” a barrel aged imperial stout from Aslin Barrel Select:

Poured at 62°. Aged in Old Fitzgerald Bourbon, and Whistle Pig Rye Whiskey barrels. Rested on toasted coconut and caramel added. Amazing layers of booze, sweet caramel candy, and coconut. Little warmth from the 12.2% abv, but with boozy exhale and alcohol bite on tip of tongue.

It’s going to hit upper 70s here again today. I have the RV in the driveway for some spring cleanup, and possible road trip/camping next week. Cheers and have a super Sunday y’all!

Good day BAs! Thanks, @Shanex for kicking off today's festivities! I haven't seen a Maredsous Tripel since the only beer shop in western PA that routinely carried them (and the Belgium restaurant as well) turned turtle. I may have to go back to BE soon!
Today is starting off sunny and warm (16 degrees F) and soon it will be time to watch "Noir Alley", my sunday morning indulgence. Last night the local PBS station ran "The Maltese Falcon", one of my favorite movies and one of my favorite styles of movies/novels. A quiet night sipping rye and putting my feet up. This morning is the time to try the holy grail of the extreme beer box:

This is the beer for which I purchased the Extreme Beer Box. Overall, damn good, and probably as close as I'll ever come to finding some Utopia-type brew. Rating 4.47, rDev +1.1%

A Miller lite. Which has becomes the far superior light beer in my circle preceded by Bones Red Velvet coffee. Couple hits off the sativa pen and Bolt Thrower to start the day.

Lunch, at 9:30 am? Sure, why not? And naturally that means it's time for New Beer #2.

Also got our monthly gift that family gave us - a handful of snacks all from one country. Most things have been pretty tasty. This month is France, and I wonder if @Shanex recognizes any of the offerings, not that I’d be surprised one way or another.

Yes to the chocolate « Cemoi » and the « Sablés » from the Mère poulard which is basically an institution in the Mont Saint Michel in Normandy.

Some nice treats there that probably pair well with literally any beers, maybe stouts in particular.

Loads of flavors all well balanced, base and barrel merging seamlessly. Delicious. Check out the NBW thread for the skinny and my 4.64 rating. Cheers y’all!
