...sure, I also am up to @ChicagoJ's tuneage challenge...I'll keep these just within the year 1973 and won't say these are better than his two selections, but they're just as memorable...

...if going with other years and genres, well game on...!!!...

Jai Alai time! The wife kept the fire going while I knocked out the yard work. We have a bunch of crap wood we burn for the heck of it.

Been wanting to try this one and found it relatively fresh (~2 months) at my hyper-local beer retailer. Definitely lands squarely in the WCIPA category. Green Flash West Coast IPA. Really enjoying it. Cheers!

Also picked up another 30 rack of Hamms (@miwestcoaster ) for my sister when she watches the kiddos next weekend while Mrs. DavetotheB head out of town for a conference. Hope the 30 is enough for her-my sister loves Hamms BTW. Must be genetic...

Having a Pineapple & Tangerine Jai Alai. I like it, but I am weirdly getting flavors I would associate with a Belgian beer, which I did not expect. Cheers!

I rarely drink Vienna Lagers but this one from Dovetail Brewery is really tasty and has an unexpected hop bite. Thank you, @FBarber!

    NBS'd it.
Afternoon NBS hope everyones enjoying their Sunday.
Got a couple Tenderloin steaks in sous vide tub right now and preparing a red wine/mushroom sauce. In the meantime I went out of the box today and grabbed this Jester King Rare Corals Farmhouse Ale with a bunch of weird fruits.. sounds kind of like a disaster but hey you never know.
Pours a burnished hazy gold with a foamy but short lived off white head with nary a lace.
Aroma is mild and the first hit I get is strawberry, then the melon, some green apple, hay, grass.
Taste is opening as the beer warms.
Starts with strawberry and cantelope and as those flavors fade Im getting a touch of banana towards the back and a touch of coconut, drying with the herbal chamomile on the finish. Theres a vinous green apple like thing going on as well. (No apple in the ingredients but almost everything else). Body is medium/light, more sour than tart, light carb fades rather quickly and its really bone dry on the finish.
Lets be honest this is out there all over the place. I mean its not bad. Its well made it just doesnt have an identity in the flavor. Its hard to figure what they were going for. A bit of a letdown coming from JK but you cant win em all. Still, glad I gave it a shot.
    Cheers enjoy your evening!

Gave one of my nephews the proper glassware recently for this one since I hadn’t seen it around for years. Probably was on the shelves and I just didn’t see it. Saw two yesterday and bought this one. Forgot how amazing it is! :yum: I’ll go back and get the other so he can try it unless it’s gone…or I keep it. :no_mouth:
