I should be in Vegas playing Full Pay Deuces Wild machines on this 2/22/22. But instead I am in rainy and soon to be cold Chicago, Illinois. Thankfully I have a cellar to get me through this.

Destihl Brewery Quadrupel



This was bottled in Bloomington in 2015, before moving to their Normal location the following year. Full review in the Cellaruary thread. Long story short, this held up very well, almost finished it while reviewing before saving the last few ounces for this thread. This is an excellent brewery, haven't been disappointed yet and hope to visit it for the first time this year.

Closing the loop on the Sunday 1973 album discussion, perhaps I'm influenced by the fact my middle brother was born that year and this band is his second favorite behind Mark Knopfler. While I'm taking Houses of the Holy to the desert album, only the Wall's mega December 1979 release is etched more on my mind than the long standing popularity of Dark Side of the Moon, which remains one of the best selling albums of all time.

and the lowest ABV of any Chimay beer I've ever had

Got rained out of work today so you already know what time it is. If there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s coming home from work early and enjoying beers and a cigar.

There’s almost a 30 degree temperature difference today between south Michigan where I work and up north at the family cottage. Interesting anecdote regarding Michigan weather.

2 weeks ago I obtained a new job I was real excited about. My current employer ended up counter offering to a degree which I could not turn down. I’m almost bummed but at the same time, it’s nice to know you’re appreciated. A big part of me was looking forward to new pastures, though. Oh well. I suppose the man upstairs will guide me through to where I’m supposed to be. Cheers fellas. I hope everyone is doing well.
