We’ve come a long way since the majority of beers were bottled in bombers 10+ years ago or so. Still, today I saw some Barrel Aged Freemont beers that looked lovely, but at $31 a bottle, and in bomber format, I had to pass. I’m not saying that everything has to be in a can, what Firestone did moving their big beers into small format bottles was awesome. So, I’m just saying right now, let’s start a movement. Let’s officially try and get the bomber killed so that things can be more practical and approachable. Cheers.

$31 a bottle and I have to find someone to share it with? Or $15 for a 12 ounce bottle and I can enjoy it on my own whenever I want? I’ve made my peace.

I'll happily join your movement if you join my movement to do away with wax.

Totally agree ,I’ve stopped buying almost all 750 and 650 ML formats. Like to also have 4PK pounders in either 6pk or 4PK 12oz cans. Not a fan of a 16oz servings of 8 - 10% brew.

Today I can walk into one of my local beer shops and still see Cascade 750 ml’s from years ago. Let’s end this now.

Can we just severely maim the bomber?? It is nice to travel and grab a bomber to bring back to share with a couple of friends. I prefer that to trying to share a 16oz can with more than one other person.

    No thanks
Just buy a bottle stopper and move on.
So funny cuz when i started thread on a price increase on Fremont bottles and said i wont buy any months ago everyone was firing against me with their panties in a bunch.
If beer is too pricy don't buy it.

Your wallet talks, I don’t think you really need to start a movement. There has already been significant change. More to come.

Get rid of STOUTS in bombers….it’s so hard to drink those (most being over 10%) without splitting at least 2-3ways, and usually don’t have 2-3 ppl over to do so.

Saisons and sours can stay in 750’s

I thought it was great when FW went from 22oz to 12oz, because 12 is perfect for enjoying a 14-15% sipping beer by myself. That said, I still buy Bruery Black Tuesday every year and that's a 19%+ 750ml bottle. I just need some share buddies for those.

I like bombers...and I like barrel aged stouts in bombers. I don't want to kill them!

Personally I "kill" anything over 12 ounces by not opening my wallet for them. I am ready for a new style after 12 ounces of anything.

Or, put those beers in 12oz formats so folks don't have have fucking idiotic bottle stopper kicking around.

Regular 22s can die. Cork n Caged 750s are OK for Belgians and Wilds.

I don't know, man. I bottle-stopped a Big Bad Baptist bomber a couple years ago and it was noticeably thinner the next evening. I may need to up my bottle-stopper game...
