Bite your tongue! I like a bomber format, but the per ounce pricing should be congruent with other formats. For example, KBS a few years ago was $24/4x12 oz but a bomber was $24. Double the price for using one big bottle that requires no cardboard packaging is absurd.

Prices should be congruent but they just never are. Like the man said, kill the bomber.

Nope, it’s the best stopper I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned a lot. Completely seals the opening.

Who can't solo a bomber? The same dudes posting 5 or 6 beers on WBAYDN in one day. That's who. Quit crying.

Do I dare mention the Magnum (1.5 Liter) or Double Magnum (3 Liter) wine bottle size in this thread or is it too much? Largest wine bottle is an 18 Liter Melchior (roughly 608 ounces). In terms of beer, what is the largest bottle size that you have seen? Can beer be bottled in a bigger bottle than a 22 ounce bomber (growlers excluded)?

    I think that's just called a 40
Live the high life bud it's basically a bottle of champagne.

If the 40 wasn't just a novelty at this point I'd challenge Europe to respond with a 1.25L beer bottle.

don’t take it personal, every time some complains about something the go to answer is “don’t like it don’t but it”. I mean it is such good and original advice why not say it. Like no shit I won’t buy it.

29 oz., several different style quart bottles (stubby, bumper, etc), imperial quarts, 40's and half gallons (both picnic and stubby styles) have been commonly used in the US in the past.

And it's worked, we're winning. There are far fewer bombers on the shelves than there used to be.

I do not buy bombers as much as I used to, however, I still purchase bombers. There is always room on my shelf for a big bottle of St. Bernardus Christmas Ale, La Fin Du Monde, Three Philosophers, etc., that my wife and I will share. Keep the bomber.

    I kill a bomber everytime I open one
I just came to say your praise for firestone is only half warranted. The price per ounce went up significantly when they dropped to 12 oz bottles. I forget the size of the larger bottles (were they 22 oz?) but the price was around $16, now the 12 oz bottles are $10-12 but mostly $12.
I see sharing mentioned a lot and have to also agree, I have a hard time sharing a 12 oz bottle, it was much easier sharing big bottles.
