    Good morning advocates..!

I am drinking Delirium Argentum, an Amber IPA. Not sure how widely available it is for this American crowd, but we have it here on the shelves for about a year now.

7% ABV, makes for a good spring and summer beer.

Edited to add: postimage appear to be shitting the bed right now, so I’m stuck using some alternative and finally got this:

Up early to do some call reviews for work. This tasty beverage should help keep me awake, or at least make it less boring.

@mschrei - Still never had a Pipeworks barrel aged beer (or have visited the Dojo), hope I do both in 2022.

Also pulled a Chicago born and bred beer, this one to celebrate the 18th Anniversary of New Beer Sunday!

Full review in the aforementioned thread. Bottom line, I glad I tried, but not worth the premium price, IMO.

Wouldn't be right tagging @mschrei without featuring two from the 1983 Saturday Morning Flashback featured yesterday morning.

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting today's thread! I haven't see the silver Delerium but I think I've mentioned before, few Belgium brews make it into the local tundra. However, today's New Breakfast Beer is a Belgian brew I picked up in Eastern PA last fall - it's been lurking in my beer reefer since:

    WHOOPS! SORRY - NO PHOTO

Well, sorry, I've been trying postimages for some time and can't upload my beer photo - perhaps I'll have better luck on NBW/NBS. Anyway, today's New Breakfast Beer (Scaldis Noel from Brasserie Dubuisson), has been lurking in Beer Reefer #1 since August 2021. Today was it's day and it is unimpressive - kind of like drinking wort prior to fermenting - just malt with a shot or two of absolute. Rating 3.21, rDev -20.7. One and done.

Have a good Sunday. After Vietnamese food yesterday we watched Scarface and 5 episodes of Squid Game. Julia still not seen Breaking Bad and I haven't binged watched it in a few years since they did the holiday marathons. We will start it after Squid Game. My sister/nephew got me into that one, and it's really a great series.

Not sure why I am still up, but I figured I will review a beer or something, after I saw @Shanex started the thread, but here I am 2 hours later. That's procrastination. Had a bit of cuddle envy this morning, as well. They slept on the couch during the films next to us. Steg demands pets quite often, and forcefully.

Taxman La Maison. Awesome Saison. Lasting rocky head and foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, orange, citrus peel, pear, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, pine, wheat, cracker, honey, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; and pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins in the mouthfeel. Increasing hop resin dryness, with no astringency. Very drinkable, pretty refreshing. Minimal warming 7%. Might be Amarillo hops. Great balance of vibrant/dank hops and French Saison yeast, with a clean malt backbone. This held up incredibly well for being canned 2 years ago. Spot on base style example as expected of the brewery. 4.13

Wake up dead for dessert from my aging rack. It’s rather dusty, hope it’s still good.

Thank you for the music, sir. If I wasn’t on such a Muse kick right now, I’d play some of the stuff I heard during my morning driving from yesterday. The Hyper Dog I’m drinking is not barrel aged, but I have had some of their stuff, and it’s as good as Bourbon County and Revolution, who I think are the tops in barrel aging in the Chicago area (I still need to try More Brewing, I know). Barrel Aged Jones Dog is, in fact, my favorite beer of all time. I just wish they weren’t as narrow with their distribution, as Binny’s is the only place I know that they’ve started going back to with the barrel program. Cheers!

Finishing the pour from a coupla days ago on this awesome brew - the resealable homebrew bottles work great to store pints of high octane beer, to do multi-day pours.....

Do you prefer the new version or the original Prima Pils?

Tbh my memory has been horrid lately and I was unaware of a recipe change. Compared to my notes and review from 7 years ago (and I was not great at reviewing) I’d say writing a new review that I am enjoying this “new” Prima pils much more. And that may also be from being older as well and having more respect and knowledge of beer and the style in general. :beers:

So the short answer would be the new Prima pils thank you sir for asking

...I will say with food, the bitterness really shows. Alone it is a balanced monster of a pils in the best way. Stamped best by April
