I recently had a 4 pack of Ballad Snickerdoodle Doppelbock... if I remember it was cinnamon and vanilla added. Unsure if that qualifies as pastry doppel... maybe just cookie doppel.

I'm pretty sure it's meant to be consumed by the Liter, mission accomplished!

When I want a glass of liquid bread I'll go for a Weihenstephaner Korbinian. It's crazy how many different flavors I can pull out of that beer. It might just be my favorite beer.

I love a good malty beer when done right. I like the obvious porters and stouts, but I really like a good wee heavy

Absolutely. The obvious styles are doppelbocks, barelywines, old ales, scotch ales, etc. but don't forget the richer table-strength styles. Dunkels, Irish reds, brown ales, kellerbiers (at least some of them), dubbels, and even the occasional porter.

Do you see that beer in CT anymore? I don’t, but certainly wish I did!
