[IMG] My last day off. It was a nice 4 days off with the family and friends. Good news is only 3 days of work and the weekend again. This stuff is awesome. Cheers all.

Good day BAS and thanks to @SawDog505 for starting today's thread. Starting off cool (33 degrees) and partially cloudy - yesterday was beautiful - 37 degrees and sunny. Today's New Breakfast beer is also clear:

Decent festbier - rating 3.51, rDev +1.2%. Another one off the backlog inventory!

[IMG] Sometimes you need a reality check and when you have one of your local brewers mediocre NEDIPAs for them and put it back to back against possibly the best in the world at brewing. You truly see the difference.

I know that this is a major faux pas. I know that some hate mail may be coming my way from Dusseldorf. I'm aware that one cannot simply drink an Altbier out of what is technically a Kolsch Stange. But it's the only branded Notch drinkware that I have. Plus Altbiers are technically also drank out of Stange glasses.

So anyway. Bottom line is that this is one heck of a beer. Alts are underrated.

Agreed, alts are very, very underrated. I enjoy that beer a great deal. Have you had anything else from Notch? I checked out their location in Brighton. So much great stuff on tap.

Yes I have had several different beers, the majority of which I have bought via Mail In orders. I have not tried any of their ales (Pale Ales, English IPAs, or Milds) but I'd love to give them a try.

My wife would love that pic! She found some local Paczki, but it wasn't the same - and you can see the difference quite clearly just from your picture!

Naturally, just three days after shipping out three boxes with zero cans of Triple Sunshine, I found some quite randomly this morning. Granted, at almost three months old, I wouldn't have sent these to anyone, but I figure they're still worth a go myself.

Yep, definitely still works - as expected from Lawson's. Sip hols up quite well, too.

    Cheers!

    Threes Brewing -- Yore
    10° P Czech pilsner
ABV: 3.9%; pouring temperature: 53 °F; canning data: CANNED ON 12/14/21

    3.89/5 rDev -4%
    look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Excellent straw yellow body; slow rising carbonation; thick, billowy head, white and rocky, frothy. Mild malt nose with a nice earthy herbal and floral hop character. Slightly thin taste; light malt; moderately aggressive hop bitterness. Light body; crisp; moderate dryness.

Threes Brewing did a fine job with this Czech-style pilsner. Clean and refreshing.
