I definitely miss the various print papers I used to find in different breweries. Not surprised their early victims of the demise of print, but they were always welcomed.
I enjoy grabbing one and reading it at whichever brewery I'm at. Also, as an English professor, it seems the copyediting has improved
Picked up the March issue at Green Cheek CM earlier this week. Nice cover story on Bravery Brewing out of Lancaster.
This is one of the many reasons I like to read Beer Paper/LA. There’s a ton of new/newer breweries out there that we will probably never visit unless we happen to be in the area. And sometimes for me it’ll grab my attention and I’ll plan a road trip. Enegren would be one of them.
Who remembers Beer the Magazine? I still have a few issues from the mid 90s. Back when SA Triple Bock was headline news!
I miss it too. I’d grab a copy at Beachwood BBQ Seal Beach back in the day when I’d stop in 2-3 days a week on way home from Lax. Nice magazine full of information from across the states and beyond.
Did I miss something here? I know when Beer Paper started it was Beer Paper LA. When was the LA dropped? So I guess it’s not just LA anymore, but all of California. Man I am getting old and forgetful these days. What was the San Diego beer newspaper called? I think I was into reading it back around 07 or 08. I haven’t seen it around in a long time.
West Coaster. Think they ended right around the start of covid. Brandon who was a contributor there started San Diego Beer News which is a good site.
Was my first introduction to BA. I'd leafed through it a couple times out at breweries, and one day decided to check out the website. I remember some wonderful reads
One more to bring up that I haven’t seen active lately is online OC Beer Blog. What’s Greg up to? I opened up the HB page and he was there for Beach City Brewery opening day. Good source of information.
Bottleworks in Seattle used to have free copies of BA at the counter for customers. Whenever I saw one I'd always take it home.
