Good morning/evening @barneyrubble! Hopefully the day has dawned bright for you and yours!

Tonight's beer was Keene Idea by Alpine Beer Company. It's a bitter monster that harks back to the days when a West Coast IPA required a mouthguard and headgear. There's no juice to hide the bitter uppercut the beer throws at you, and its power is worn square on the chin no matter which way you roll. Years of drinking hoppy beers are the only defence and leaning on the ropes and absorbing this beer's punishment is a satisfying, nostalgic way to go a few rounds on a Saturday night.

    Cheers!

Good day BAs! Thanks to @barneyrubble for starting today's thread! Looks like another nice morning - already up to 27 degrees F, clear and sunny! Today's New Breakfast Beer is one I picked up over a year ago:

t Didn't hold up very well - the rye exists only in my memory of the snifters I had with my meal - bottled, died. Rating 3.49, rDev -9.6%. This'll be a cross-post with NBW.

[IMG] A new one from Modestman single hop pure Mosaic 8.5% is missing the signature haze from them and that changes the mouthfeel a tad, but still a great to a Saturday. Cheers all.

[IMG] This is the haze you normally get from Modestman, with the creamy mouthfeel.

A little fake tart before I start. UA/FL Weisse, and going to enjoy the weekend respite.

Good morning BAs! Slept in again this beautiful morning…I’ve taken my stroll around the campground, now for my coffee as I pack up the RV - Backwoods Brewing’s “King Size” candy bar stout:

It’s a lovely sunny 62° now, but the temp should be in the mid 80s when I get back to St. Pete later today. In the meantime, Cheers from Lake Wales, FL and have a superb Saturday y’all!

Bennington oatmeal stout from Nightshift brings a strong maple flavor.
I went to Duke and UNC so college game-day is entertaining this morning.

"see you all later". Are you a northern New Hampshire fellow? Y'all is a nice contraction and feels good to say and write. But my Mom was from Birmingham and my Dad from Richmond. Must be genetic by now. That looks like a tasty brew.....Now I'm going to hang out with my hounds. Cheers.

Cape May IPA. A west coast style ipa taht I remember being more red when it first became available but either way a great choice of a hoppy beer. Old school. Not new and not new to me but I’ll cross thread with NBW for those who want details if they’ve been thinking of trying this one.

    @Blogjackets @GreenBayBA

my buddy out in Michigan saw corpse on the same tour as me last week and he started an F Chris Barnes chant out there LOL.

    his picture.

gotta love it. And I don’t care who he is. He’s saying “in 1995 cannibal corpse changed their name to six feet under”. LMFAO bro is mad because he wrote songs about child violence and corpsegrinder came in and within 3 seconds in devoured by vermin the first song on Vile (which vocals were all re recorded btw) he shit out everything he’d ever done with that one scream and he’s jealous. Don’t get me wrong. Haunted is an amazing album. But six feet under has nothing against corpse. I’ve been doing death metal vocals since 2014 and have modeled my range off corpsegrinder. The dude is a legend. Pronunciation Barnes. Cant do it.

done and got me started. Haha

Wanted something roasty but wasn’t feeling like having any of the big beers, so I went the opposite direction:

It’s along the lines of All Out by the same brewer, but a little more bitter (might be the coffee). Have a fridge straggler, a local golden ale / pseudo-malt liquor on deck.

Come on now, be gentle. Not all of us have lived in the South or are from the South. I had my fair share of it that shaped my use of y'all (as y'all have seen - LOL), and I'm still partial to it because it doesn't specify any particular group (like "you guys" or all my students calling each other "dude" no matter their gender), but it takes a while to get used to it.
The other funny one from up north is "youze guys" as a collective plural.
But I'm "Team Y'all" all the way now.
    Cheers...
