I really loved BA Gnome's Soul so I'm a bit disappointed it's the regular version although I'll still buy some.

Non-BA vanilla stouts are hit or miss for me, so I may pass. Being my first year, I have heard stories about over-purchasing from past BS members. So hopefully I take those lessons and don't have a full carload of bottles to take home end of this year!

BS’s non-BA stouts in general are pretty hit and miss for me, and honestly more often a miss. Good thing they do more than enough BA beers to keep me occupied, and they do a fantastic job with those.

Third year for me, and I've learned that outside of Stay Puft, I'm likely going to hold back on non-BA, adjunct beers for the most part. The difference between regular and BA versions of the same beer is so different for me, with an overwhelming preference to BA.

Yes over buying is way too easy IMO.
Most of the time beers are good, but i am way backlogged on emptying those bottles!

They have just been pummeling us with releases as of late. My credit card hurts.

The email said it was “still coming, just not yet.” That’s kind of vague, but later this year still sounds very much in play.

I've been selective to date but that goes out the window this week!

I was able to make it through the Stay Puft release only purchasing three bottles, plus the two member bottles. I'm winning the self control battle.

Any reviews of Double Barrel Stay Puft?

Looks like they're slowly wheeling out the double barrel beers, curious how they are.

I haven't been up recently to pick up my bottles so I can't help you, but I'm curious as well. DB Big Bang sounds great too.

I’m grabbing my bottles this weekend and will try it soon. Happy to see the DB Big Bang as well.
My group currently has a double barrel Barleywine via the Barreled Souls barrel program that is in its first barrel now.

Same here, I'll probably be up to grab the 2022 bottles purchased to date in late August which will include a few of the DB Stay Puft.

I won't be up to collect my bottles for some time so I traded for a bottle. For me, it exceeded my expectations. It's sweet but there's plenty of bourbon to offset the sweetness. I love bourbon so this is my kind of stout, but could understand it being too much for some as it's not hidden.
    I love it.

I'm heading up to grab my bottles this weekend, if anyone needs me to grab theirs for a hand off in NE CT or around Auburn, MA shoot me a pm. I don't mind holding on to them for a bit if that makes your life easier as well.

DB Stay Puft is right up there with Fire Chicken for me for BS barreled aged stouts. I think it is very well balanced even though the base is kinda sweet (as intended). Also, the Sagamore Rye is right up there for me as far as the regular BA variants. I know some people have had gushers, my first bottle was but I immediately moved my second bootle to cold storage and had no issues when opened.
