Trying the Kölsch this afternoon -- quite nice.

Of interest, I had the Kölsch, Keller, and Helles at RT the other night. All very similar ingredients and characters in their styles. I have to say that I was impressed at how RT has brewed them all to be unique (and tasty) in their own rights. Prosit! to the RT gang.

And FWIW: my friend is so enamored with the brewery that he splurged and bought a 4-pack of each available style to take home. When he told me he was going to "buy the menu" I thought he was joking -- not at all. Guy at the bar cheered him, he told him, "This ought'a get me through the weekend."

And I still haven't tried their IPAs... but the Beth Saison was very good.

Wonderous pils & helles lagers are definitely worthy of your time.

I'll keep an eye out, but RT has my full attention with their German and Czech-style beers right now.

I had Both. Really like the earthy/spice thing going on with the hops in the Keller and the Helles was light and super clean. Also enjoyed the pub ale and the winter IPA. Brought home a ton of cans and of course a glass. Opted for the fresh batch of kölsch over the old discount one and some kind of 'hoppy rustic lager' both canned this week. Wasn't nuts about the 2 Belgian style beers I tried but one of those was a wit and I never like those (I was splitting a flight with my SO who loves witbier).

@Number1Framer -- is the "rustic lager" you're referring to the Holiday Romance?

I took a chance with a 4-pack of that one and enjoyed the first can. I equate it to a German Pale Ale -- with the right blend of German-style hops without going overboard.

And FWIW, I took a chance on the older Kolsch cans and they've held up well.

Glad your adventure was a success!

Yes on the Holiday Romance. The description sounded right up my alley and it was canned 4 days ago.

Riverlands collab dropping on Friday called Tributary Lager. Can’t wait for Eric and Lane to bang their heads together on this one

Any idea if it's following a certain style?

RT also brewed a collab with Mikerphone, but I haven't heard what it is.

The riverlands collab they’re calling a golden lager, “drinks somewhere between a pils and a Vienna”

the Mikerphone collab is going to be a Baltic Porter I believe.

I made it to Roaring Table last weekend. Very enjoyable spot with good beers.

I would put them in the same ballpark as Goldfinger, Art History and Metropolitan.

Well worth a stop if you are in that neck of the woods.

Okay, I admit I'm a fan-boy for RT, but I'm also a fair judge and wouldn't rave unless I thought their beers were good (to my assessment -- which is most often a to-style judgment).

To which, I reviewed style guides for the Kolsch-style beer before I focused on RT's rendition and... man, did they nail this beer.

What a really nice, pour it down and say, "Aaaahhh." Beer.

    Good on ya RT, Prosit!

New lager release this week in cans. A Franconian-Style Rotbier Lager (5.1% ABV), Thither They Return. I'm game.

Also in cans this week: seeing the return of "Tart's Desire" (was originally a kettle sour, but now I believe they're calling it a fruit beer), which is an OG beer, this was one of the first beers on draft when they opened.

And I believe the other was a Pale ale - I forgot the name but I think I remember seeing the ABV was sub 5% (maybe like 4.7%) which sounds great. EDIT: “Chill Kit” is the name

4.5 -- local Binny's didn't have any of the new 3 yet, but they're expecting them this week.
