NBS BIF #15 Sign Up Thread

This was a big point for me to finally commit this round. I try and keep my beer money to a minimum these days but the above was echoed several times which made me finally realize "yes you should be doing this!" Thanks for taking me in weekend beer friends.

Basically, a big, circular trade. Person 1 send to #2, who sends to #3, who sends to 4, etc until the last person sends back to #1. Read @Roguer 's OP in this thread, and then ask any other questions you might have.

 

I read it. It's like a secret Santa for beer nerds yeah? Never done one. Are you aiming for a west forum type thing?

 

This one is focused on supporting New Beer Sunday, and folks from all over participate. The main point is to send your target new-to-them beers, thus locals make great choices.

 

I can ask a couple of the guys who are regulars in the Canadian BIF. A couple of them have US mailboxes. If interested I will emphasize the hints/hauls and NBW participation.

Ah. I had stopped trading for about 5 years. Just started up again recently. If you can promise me a shot at MA hops then I'm in. I do have health concerns with sour beers, can I add that as a caveat?

 

Sure! And if you get some by mistake or something, you can just gift it forward.
I think putting stuff like that in your profile page works as I know at least a few of us do research on our targets and that is where we start.

My first NBS BIFer, I told my target (@WesMantooth ) that I was his sender.

Without leaving a single clue. That was in the fall of 2016

Like 12 BIF's later, I'm still allowed to participate. This is a generous, supportive group. Not a better bunch of people you'll ever run into, anywhere.

And we all like good beer, so we all like to send good beer. Based on the contributions you make to NBW, you will fit in perfectly here.

I am tempted to participate if @Roguer allows me to, it's been 2 years since my life went down the hole, but that was literally the only reason I was late with shipping on that BIF. I'll just leave it at that.

 

It’s better than a secret Santa . Add to it some whodunit /murdering your porch mysteries and a pinch of shenanigans…highly recommended. Just dont know where you would find Massachusetts beers in a BIF…..
