Incidentally, this friend was struck down by the Beer Gods for not thinking of me. He had to open his passenger door for some reason, and the one bottle he had earmarked for himself fell out and shattered upon the ground. Did I mention the town where this happened just happens to be my hometown, approx two hours away from where I live now? Can't not see the hand of karma in that!

Reporting on the next beer out of the wonderful LIF box sent to me by @JayORear - A Milkshake IPA. Correction, an Extra Vanilla Double Milkshake IPA. Huh. This one is new to me, in style at least.
Not knowing what a Milkshake IPA was, I will admit to approaching this with concern, but I've yet to have a bad beer from Tired Hands so I dove in.
Poured an apricot colored opaque liquid and was capped with a one finger nearly white head. Not quite NE Hazy, not transparent, something in between.
The aroma was good - vanilla definitely present and the hops were in full force, my brain was trying to make sense of this combination so I finally took a sip.
The flavor - first sip was front loaded with vanilla and the hops came on strong at the swallow. Subsequent sips leveled this out a bit and I found myself being amazed that this worked so very well. Never would have thought it. But wow!
The feel, I spent so much time diagnosing the flavor that I only noticed the feel; which was just shy of viscous and seemed to fit the package of flavors and ABV that are in this beer.
So glad I tried this, now I may have to try some others. I just doubt local breweries will do as solid a job.
    Thanks Jay!

Maybe I'm still alive. You've definitely reviewed beer from Washington.

    Noted.

By the way, a third Rush collaboration beer was just released. I saw it somewhere that this one may see US district too.

Could be me, though I wasn't drunk. Was feeling a little impaired for having tweaked my back, however, so it kinda works.

I believe there's a good case for the Lions being considered most calamitous team the NFL has had for all time. I mean, they had Barry Sanders, and what did they ultimately show for it? Their winningest coach is Wayne Fontes, for god's sake. I normally root for Detroit teams, but fuck the Lions. They piss me off.

Incidentally, I have now finished trolling through the beers my target has rated or reviewed on BA in order to weed out anything I could ship that they've already had. Took me 4 days. Was that because they'rve rated huge number of beers, or because of interruptions occuring due to the usual necessary actions of life?

Has anyone sent ‘Cask-in-a-box’ in this BIF before? I’m hesitant. Maybe for a LIF once things get moving? What say you?

But none have been even vaguely recent and they're about 100 yrs old, whereas the Seahawks are my younger brother's age. And the Seahawks never had Matt Millen as GM. Dear god, the Millen years were worse than the Seahawks entire history. Gotta be the Ford family. That's the common thread to their awfulness.

Machine House Brewing in Seattle exclusively brews English, Cask beers and they sell these as well: https://www.machinehousebrewery.com/

Hint #7: My target has reviewed a beer from the state I was born in, and the state I currently live in. They have also reviewed a beer from the state I met my now wife in.

Nice. They came to our big Cask festival here a few years ago. Great beers. High on my list of places I’d like to one day visit.

I really like their tasting room a lot. It's located in the old Rainier brewery building, in the, wait for it, Machine House.

Odin bought out the brand, and the facility was sold separately (eventually) to Lagunitas, who I think is still operating out of that location. Not sure if they actually brew there.

    I AM PROBABLY STILL IN
