Rain clearing for a bit, I'm now really enjoying a Goldfinger Brewing New Zealand Lager, a hoppy lager with peach, citrus...aromatic. Thanks a ton to @GrumpyGas for sending it and @DoctorZombies for hauling it back from @scream's celebration of life!!

picked this up a few days ago - I like Ardbeg scotch, but this packaging a little tiny "bbq smoker" in with it was a bit....ummm, hokey!


like that little tiny thing is even going to hold many wood chips, and act as a smoker??

Wondering what their marketing folks are smoking themselves!!

Blue Blaze Amber/Altbier from Charlotte. Not super fresh, but I'd rather have this than the freshest IPA.

 

This came into work today, and I'm glad I bought it. Quite delicious.

750ml crawler - canned on 3/22/22 - consumed on 3/24/22
This beer is a clear pouring darker golden color. The head is 2 finger, white, quite fluffy, and decent lasting, however, there's minimal lacing on my glass.
The nose has notes of mango and pine in it.
Taste - up front I get some sweet tropical mango, but this doesn't last long. This beer goes full on pine fast on the back side. It isn't overly bitter, but pleasingly strong.
The body is a bit sticky, from the pine flavor. Decent body overall.
I am a fan of a pine flavor IPA, and this is a good one.

 

Can't drink tomorrow, so I'ma jump the gun on the Triple tasting. Westmalle Trappist Tripel.

Of coarse I'm late for the Toast to Armand weekend, but here it is...3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek. This is the reason I find most "fruited sours" made in the US to be so damn inferior. My entire condo is filled with sour cherries, funk, and just awesomeness.

Oh, and the penultimate album before Kind of Blue. Cannonball Adderley's Somthin' Else, one of the all time greatest albums, let alone best Blue Note albums. One of my true gems of my collection, its the original pressing. With Miles Davis as a guest, for one to get to know how to play with Cannonball better, and as a favor for him coming over to Columbia to play on KoB, and that album would not be what it is without the Cannonball In Chicago (AKA Cannonball & Coltrane) and this one, and that is as brief as I can be while talking about these albums . You know whats coming up next, at least music wise
