It is pretty good. Not the best DIPA brewed by Veil in my opinion but I would buy it again. I bought it once before and liked it so bought it again today.

Still smooth and boozy with happy toffee notes melding in.

Continuing the theme of non-traditional barleywine. Coffee heavy English barleywine with a touch of coconut and macadamia. Oddly works as an interesting iteration. By no means world class, but fun, as beer should be. Hope you all are having a nice evening.

Root Down - Bine IPA

This is the Gold medalist in the American IPA category at the 2018 GABF. I recall having it on draft that year but now sampling it from a can. If my memory serves me well they are pretty much identical in both formats.

Brewer Notes: El Catador Club bottle #3

Style: Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Milk Stout with Hazelnuts, Coffee and Vanilla.

The first Tampa-centric release of El Catador Club 9th Edition, with our friends from Angry Chair Brewing. For this collaboration, we chose a finely brewed cup of hazelnut coffee as inspiration. The addition of vanilla beans for sweetness plus real hazelnuts and coffee round out that familiar morning treat. The bourbon and barrel qualities are present but play a supporting role to the hazelnut and coffee, though the bourbon aroma really shines through as the beer warms up.

Founded in 2014, Angry Chair Brewing has been setting the beer world on fire with their massive imperial stouts and barleywines. This collab is especially meaningful, as two of the driving forces behind Angry Chair, Ryan Dowdle and Ben Romano, both spent many years working at Cigar City Brewing.

Dark cola liquid , brown ring

Aroma of hazelnuts , chocolate , coffee

Taste is hazelnut coffee, semi sweet chocolate ,hazel nuttiness

Low sudsing , slight char acridness, char lingers on the back of the tongue

Good beer
