That Bickerson's update was not what I was expecting. Maybe it will be good news for Mean Sandwich. I was thinking about revisiting my remote taprooms thread. I live a couple blocks away from one and I have no real urge to try it out.

Very happy with the few bottles I brought back home. I have another two bottles sitting in my queue now. Perhaps I should visit them this week.

I was really disappointed to miss their Kvass release by a day or two (submitted an online order, but evidentially the store doesn't 'fill' the order until day-of.)

I'd definitely revisit, and stay for a few pours, next time I'm up that way.

So I guess I'll be the first "I'm coming to Seattle, WTF do I do?" post for 2022! I'll be there April 5th - 11th visiting my daughter, she lives in the "Pill Hill" section, on Borean. She likes sours so she said Urban Family was her favorite followed by Fremont. I guess I'll concentrate on the "must hit" list and/or any other breweries that we happen upon doing the basic touristy shit. My wife is a WC IPA kind of gal, I like the whole spectrum so I'm good no matter what.

Anyho, haven't really dug into our itinerary but we will have access to a car (it is MY car after all, lol).

I know the list above is pretty extensive, trying to whittle it down. Throw out a couple off the radar favorites for me. I see a nod to Lucky Envelope by @Slamminson. Any others? ANy "must misses"?

Thanks guys, I'll be checking in here a bunch next week. Cheers - Paul

Ravenna Brewing and Burke Gilman. They're not far from each other over by University Village and definitely worth checking out.

Also, Lowercase. Particularly if you like lagers.

Great Notion and Lowercase share a building, and you've got Machine House a ridiculously short walk away. And then Jellyfish Brewing and Full Throttle Bottles are across the street from MH. Machine House is an absolute must visit.

A local can chime in, but I think the public transport system, coupled with ride shares, in Seattle is reasonably efficient, especially with a little planning and flexibility, once you factor in the benefit of avoiding hunting for a parking spot, and, if course, allowing you to drink more than is wise.

Light rail (where available) and Uber/Lyft is great, but I wouldn't want to rely on Metro to get over to Ballard.

Duly noted. I'm assuming (or hope) my daughter is fairly versed in getting around without driving. Although she does mostly drive the mile or so to work

Agreed. Anything on or near the light rail spine will be easy (Columbia City, Beacon Hill, Downtown, Belltown, Cap Hill, U District, Ravenna), and other stuff is a short bus ride away (Central District, Queen Anne, Fremont), but Ballard and Georgetown can be a little tougher; I would plan on Uber/Lyft for those.

Hey All- Any recs on the your favorite breweries in the Skagit Valley? Looks like one of our days might a day trip up there looking at tulips or something. I'm going to need some beer breaks! Looks like a lot of breweries in that area... Hopefully our flight isn't cancelled tomorrow!

    Cheers - Paul
