Russian brewers ask for help replacing imported hops

It sounds like Russian citizens will find out whether they like the Gruit style, or perhaps they'll be drinking more Kvass. Or switch to vodka to drown their economic miseries.

 

Strange as Russia has such a wide range of temperatures that hops could be grown in several places. But then the country is ran by inept useless thieves

 

The 2020 Report of the International Hop Growers Convention estimated Russia's hop production for the year at 350,000 kg. Bigger than (tiny) Belgium's.

#1 US's was 48,038,000 kg.

 

Maybe they can switch to using the bitter tears of Ukrainians instead.
