Yes, over the last couple years there has been more of an emphasis (seemingly) on non-adjuncted BA stouts and those offerings have been good to very good. The adjuncted stuff is hit and miss. For their 5th anniversary they did a blend of 5 stouts and at that time I considered it to be one of the best BA stouts ever produced by Mikerphone. And since the non-adjuncted stuff has been pretty good lately I was hoping that for this specific release that the beers would be more in line with those beers. Unfortunately, these are more like the old days. I'd be really interested in knowing why these beers lose so much barrel presence when they add adjuncts to them.

The old Miker's Mark label is underneath the new Binny's Bunch label on the rye BA stout. It's a "butcher cover" situation, for any Beatles fans out there.

Having trouble posting pics via Imgur lately, so you'll have to take word for it.

But did you drink the whole thing and get under your bed spread?

You’ll just have to wait to see until he gets Imgur working.

They said something about a "violation of public decency" or something.

that could also be because your bed is a foeder cut in half with a king size mattress on it.

They will only be selling to public what is leftover, if any, after attendees to a $50 per ticket draft beer and charcuterie “Q&A” party have a chance to buy bottles.

Recommend their new release, Cuff and a Crease, to any WCIPA fans (brewery only release unfortunately). Seems Mike was inspired to brew this beer drinking Russian RIver's Blind Pig. I've not had the fortune of trying Blind Pig but this beer is a really nice WCIPA on its own imo. 6.25% and plenty of west coast vibes. Between this and the recent She's So Divine, Mikerphone are kicking out some nice WCIPAs (in my wheelhouse anyway. ymmv).

Blind Pig is an excellent IPA. Not going out of my way for Mikerphone, but if I see it out and about I’ll definitely snag a pack.

Can I get this off my chest? I don’t like the buy a ticket to this event, get the chance to buy these bottles first approach to releases. I do like Mikerphone, and I have no disrespect to getting his money but it’s just not for me

I don't mind them having a Q and A about the beers and their process with the ability to buy bottles first as a perk. My issue is with the price. $50 for a Q and A with beer pours I don't want and food I won't eat is not worth it to me.

I mean, if it was beer you did want and food you would eat, it wouldn't be such a bad deal I think.

BA bottles will be on sale for public (no $50 upcharge needed) on Wednesday at 8am on Oznr per the Mikerphone email blast tonight.

Limit 2 each bottle, $20 for Sir Blends and $22 for Black Honey.

Initial thoughts from a guys random FB thread:

    Blends A Lot was good

Black Honey was too sweet. (I’m bummed about that because I love FFG)

These bottles sat on Oznr for a good hour or so too, kind of surprised given that I thought Sir Blends won a FOBAB medal at one point...

to be fair, they did put them in smaller bottles so likely had a bit more.
