for real. that was an early enough post to make me think it was an IP to-go release like in the before times.

SP is pretty predictable in this way. If they do an event like Invitational, they either have something special same day or next day (or both). It’s usually worth staying an extra day if you are coming from a far enough distance you have to fly.

I have to say it was kind of weird that none of the recent SP collabs were at The Invitational, considering all the breweries were there.

Maybe they did bring them. Problem was very few kegs from any brewery kicked. There was so many brewers, so much beer, that people didn’t lineup for more than like a handful of beers (Kent, pips, d12, bbt ‘18). At side Project anabasis b3, TWCP derivation, mjk were on for a long time. There was even leftovers of OWK. I bet there were more kegs that we never made it to, OWK b2, TB MitW, MJK/BBT Cuvee, BA Coco vibes b2, etc.

    There's an OWK B2?

Is this something 'officially' announced in LC, or just something that's been passed along by CK or the staff?

That's exciting stuff. Inquiring minds and all that.

I really enjoyed Waxley, but fruited saisons/lambics are the beers I tend to enjoy most. It was a nice palette cleanser between all the stouts. More on the fruit side than funk, and yet not quite the fresh apricot pow you’d find in AdF or CdC5. Probably had it 3 times yesterday. Enjoyed it more than Floodland or Keeping Together. I’m curious what about Waxley disappointed folks.

Other standout beers were the obvious (OWK, Pips, Oude Fermier, BBT18, TWCP D). Best out of town stouts for me were Medianoche Reserve and Monkish TXXTH.

Crazy was it bottle pours? I’ve had it a few times and I’d definitly not call it a “bad” beer. I wouldn’t put it ahead of westly either. If it was from a keg I wonder if there variation to the bottle. Very interesting and disappointing to hear

Oh man that’s even more confusing lol. So who knows what happened, had to be the high water mark people were expecting but got regular west Ashley instead, :/

Speaking of Medianoche reserve, I’m happy to hear b2 was outstanding as bottles never sold out yesterday on eventbrite, crazy it lasted all day!

Weird but it has to be the aged peaches. I got the exact same thing from Russian river the peach b2. B1 was a stunner, b2 was good with a sliver bit of rotten peach

I thought West Ashley Cuvée was great. So did many others in my group of friends.

however, supreme clientele took the cake for me when it came to the sour offerings yesterday.

Gin Black Agnes and Kent the Otter were my favorite non-SP offerings yesterday, both incredible!
