Anyone else kind of taken aback at the fact that two Collabs have been higher priced than DB Derivations were? Forever darkness I can kinda understand but DB generational being more expensive has me scratching my head.

Does SP share profits on collaborations?

My first thought is the additional money is going back to the collab partner, but IDK how brewery collaborations work financially.

How much was regular Generational for the 750?

$60. So a few more months in barrels has basically doubled the price.

I went back to confirm that the length of time in barrel (for the buffalo trace barrels) on both generational and DB generational was the same. The only difference is however long DB rested in cognac (which I can't find a length for).

    Wild price swing.

i’m fairly certain it’s the same batch of generational. they just re-barreled a portion instead of bottling it.

Certainly appears that way. I originally thought that (perhaps) they let some rest longer (but in the same barrels), after removing the portion they used for generational. But, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Money talks, people are still buying (instantly) bottles at these ridiculous prices, until that stops I don't see any reprieve

totally random thought but would anyone else like to see them oak-age some of their shared pilsners / lagers? i feel like this is something that should have happened already..

Would love to see this become regular practice for them. The Veil does an oak aged Lager called Dwell and its pretty spectacular. Can't beat the $12 price tag for a 750ml either.
