I look forward to this beer every spring, and this is the perfect day to drink it! I completely lost my mind when Lamb of God played this song last night! They had the vocalist from Fit for an Autopsy fill in last night while their frontman is recovering from COVID-19, and he did an excellent job!

Speaking of held up well, great music this morning with the 1986 WXRT Saturday Morning Flashback. Hard to beat these three, yes three, back to back to back to kick off the 11 o'clock hour.

Something new to me from Lagunitas, bought during this morning’s beer run - “Maximus Colossal IPA”:



I like Lagunitas. I’ve been to the Petaluma brewery several times over the years, and their beers are often what I want to drink. But I rarely buy it here/anywhere because the packaging makes it difficult to determine canning/bottling dates and in Florida it is usually months old (want to drink old IPA?…grab Lagunitas off an un-refrigerated store shelve in Europe!)…I guess at least, while hidden somewhere, there is a date…this time, the bottling date is in small black type inside the 6 pack carry case; one would have to take each bottle out, then look inside each sleeve, only to find that one sleeve has the date…such unwarranted obfuscation…pathetic…

Kids bought Mother’s Day gifts (hope the wife likes Nintendo Switch games), we came home from shopping, and Junior made grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup (my little chef). Having a beer before an afternoon of outdoor work. WXRT Saturday Flashback song, number one.
