Side Project / Shared (2022)

I would 100% go for that DB Generational. I want to try the base version so bad, and have too much going on right now to make a quick trip to St. Louis to try it in person. That said, I do adore barleywines, and Anabasis is high up on that list for me.

Now in other scenarios, it may be tougher. If they dropped Rye BBT at the same time as DB Generational, I'd be at a total loss for brain power. Both are big-time wants.

I may reveal in the idea of discourse in this idea. Especially if it means I'm more likely to get one of the two packages.... Maybe an I70 bottle share somewhere in the middle state with representatives from both sides?

I’m not sure I can remember a beer that was onsite for several weeks that then saw a release. But man I’m really hoping for a email about it tomorrow lol

 

It’s never happened before.

The closest to that happening was probably Oude Ferm b2 & Fdf b2, but even then neither was a full fledged release. Fight Club style LC & Zwanze day.

 

same here. i can remember in the before times when something would go up on-site on a Friday or Saturday and then release Sunday. but this has been up a good while now.

I’m in the minority (or maybe majority?) that benefited from covid and the start of proxy, been able to try so much more side project that would have been difficult to trade for

 

Base version as in Generational? Get some HA Benthic and I think you have a very fair proxy for Generational. I’m not trying to make 2022 Benthic harder to get (for myself) but the Benthic lineup is a must have for me. Reg is good, Xtradubl and Rum and Vanilla are fabulous. Get it! That goes for any of you hooligans who haven’t had the Half Acre stuff.

 

Other than trying here - best place to find trades for SP? Is there a facebook group? I know what you're thinking - "look for yourself a-hole," but i've never been on facebook and don't plan on it, so I have to get my brother to help and he actually IS an a-hole...anyway - haha - i put a post in the trading section here - didn't get any bites - looking for alternatives - appreciate your collective knowledge on the matter- thx

 

Don’t have Facebook either, but I believe there is a Side Project/St. Louis specific group on there from reading things on here over the years. Someone here will chime in on the correct name, but I believe it’s something like “St. Louis Craft Burrito”

 

The STL Craft Burrito(STLCB) is a pretty active trade group on Facebook.

yeah i agree and dont even get started on TB Catch Hell, that beer is insanity! HA has really made some leaps in their barrel program

 

yea theres a few groups online that can help you get trades done, tho no promises on avoiding A-holes

 

A really kind Chicagoan recently sent me Benthic when I told them how I'd been wanting to try it awhile. I'm interested in trying more of their BA line up. Chicago was my first ever PTO vacation from work. I was up there for a robotics tournament, and on the last night took the brown line up to see Half Acre before you could buy Daisy Cutter in my area.

There is just so much to trade for and try right now. I'm interested in trading for more Chicago stuff, but having a decent sampling of Revolution, but interest and intrigue has been shifting to wanting Voodoo, having just locked in several Medianoche trades (never tried any of those either... I'm a lame ticker.)

That group can be a little... perplexing. They don't hold back. But if you want to trade for SP, it's your best bet. Just make sure you have brown water
