Ok. Maximum respect and praises to @Mbgreg for sending this gem from Westbrook.

Tall Tales and Other Nonsense by Westbrook.

This is a glorious Nanaimo inspired imperial stout.

Received in the NBS BIF #15

Poured form a 16 oz. can.
One of the most beautiful pours I've seen in a year or more. Deep, dark fudge colored liquid capped by the richest, lushest, most graceful cocoa colored foam. A smattering of the larger bubbles are almost metallic in their radiance. Captivating.
Nose is awash in deep rich chocolate notes coupled with a velvety nuttiness. It's almost like a imperial stout version of a cafe mocha meets a turtle (the caramel, nut, chocolate candy).
Lord the flavor is all the nose foreshadows and more. Now I get hints of the coconut. But the wash of chocolate and baked nuts is simply divine.
Mouthfeel is spot on for style. Chewy enough.
Overall, I would LOVE to hit this again and share it with others.

What a Weekend, So glad I am done with it. I Catered a 14-person Senior Prom Saturday and golf 27 Holes today. Time for a beer. I am trying the slushy XL from Drekker, not sure what makes this different from their other stuff. Looks like a collab with 450 North. Let us proceed with this review. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a tulip. The pour is similar to a blueberry smoothie from the big box stores. The pour was fast and hard, creating a little 1/2 head with zero retention. The aromas are tropical, banana, berry, and vanilla. With lightly toasted malts and subtle floral and herbal notes. The overloaded fruit flavor created a mess in the final product. Sad to see how this devolved into something less desirable. I did not care for this beer at all. Too lazy to take a pic, maybe my next beer.
    Cheers

4 Hans Brewing Co. Absence of Light Peanut Butter Smores Milk Stout, 7.5% ABV; 3.4 overall

Pours an effervescent cola/chestnut color with a thumb of mocha colored head. Some head retention, even less lacing

S: Peanut butter & hazel nuts

T: Follows the nose, plenty of marshmallow as well, some dryness too. Some roastyness mixes in with peanut & marshmallow once this warms. Finishes with plenty of fake-ish marshmallow & peanut taste

    MF: Medium body, firm carbonation

There's a bit of artificial taste to this & makes me not recommend this

@Coronaeus Shevchenko 9 Fantastic Beer with great flavors. Easy Sipper with a mild acrid note. The head had a quick dissipation. The aromas are chocolate, coffee, and roasty malts. The taste follows that same pattern. I thought is similar to a porter in taste. Overall I would not mind a case of this at the house to sip on a cool spring day in Idaho.

    OK. Haul Hint... @Coronaeus
RnD IPA #4 from Russian River

A nice, gentle-handed use of Sabro hops.

    Canned 21 March 2022
Clear golden straw in color. Fluffy white head. Solid retention with fairly thick lacing.
Aroma starts off with coconut milk then moves toward grapefruit zest, tangerine, and a creamy grain note.
Flavor begins somewhat earthy. Then coconut, blueberry, creamy tangerine, orange, and a mild herbal note along the lines of slightly peppery grass. A timid bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, good carbonation, between slick and fluffy. Finish is smooth.
Overall, I like this. And sometimes I'm a little put off my Sabro's coconut notes but this was well done.

No. It was 7 course dinner for them. I wanted the kids enjoy something they would never be able to enjoy until later in life.

My first Boulevard Cinnamon Bun Ale was a delightful cinnamon bomb; the cinnamon flavor and aroma was much more prominent than any orange presence from any Belgian witbiers I have ever sampled. I liked it so much that I actually purchased 2 more when I shopped at Trader Joe's today. I wouldn't normally do that, but the Boulevard website said that this beer is no longer in production.

    Dadgummit.

On tap at Green Cheek with Ian and Greg. Pours nice transparent yellow with white head. Looks crisp. Inviting. The nose is sweet, straw, grass, honey, and nice candy malts. The taste followed the nose. Fairly low key and subtle. Sweet notes, some fruitiness, lemon, grass, and bread. Really nice and easy drinking.
