    Woohoo! It's the weekend! After one hell of a work week, a classic strong ale is a definite reward for not throwing my computer out the window.

    Well done me, and well done Robinsons Brewery for this outstanding beer. There's a lot of complexity in it, and it had me groping for descriptors. I thought of and discarded "old library" as a taste descriptor but kept "old cricket balls" as part of my aroma description. What does an old cricket ball smell like? Leather, wood, grass, sweat and summer. It's as hard as a baseball, slightly bigger, and hurts like hell when it hits you in the face. Trust me, I know.

    This beer also hits hard out of the bottle but mellows into a perfect sipper, and is well suited to the way I feel now that the weekend looms and the shitty work week is back in the pavilion, unnoticed, unloved, and stored away in the cupboard with the old cricket balls.

    Happy Friday BA's! No OT today, I knew I wouldn't feel like getting up after the Cinco festivities. Woke up to a flat on the Durango, dropped it at Firestone and it's back on the truck now. Went, for the 4th Friday in a row looking at granite for the kitchen remodeling. I think we locked in two slabs of titanium black today, it's been an ordeal. Now Woven Water Brewing Lucid IPA.....

    The wife used the rest of the fajita strip steak to make cheesesteaks......paired with a Magnanimous Critical Haze IPA. Sunny and 90 again today with some welcome rain overnight. We're downtown later for first Friday art walk, our daughters students will be performing.

    FFF Zombie Dust Pale Ale stove pipe to begin the Friday fun! Thanks @AzfromOz for propping up todays thread. Those bottles=great home brew action.
