What beer are you drinking now? #3486

This first of several True Anomaly beers I'll be opening this weekend. The wonderful Nelson Park Pale Ale, always love those Nelson hops, and this is a great showcase of them.

Jazzy crooner kind of afternoon...first up is Father John Misty's new album Chloe. Which is more of a jazz vocal album than anything, and I love it.

 

Didn't need three photos - I thought it wasn't loading. I work at a meat packing plant, so I buy in bulk; I froze half of it for another time.

Opposites attract (or so they say). So I’m following up a bitter West Coast IPA with a Pastry Stout, S’mores Borg. Big marshmallow, coconut, and graham cracker but there’s also an unexpected note of black cherry. Perfect mouthfeel for the style: thick and chewy. This would be great with vanilla ice cream.

 

Genesee Ruby Red Kolsch

We’re at Rochester Lilac Fest for some Saturday afternoon bands! It’s not New Orleans, but beats lawn work. Started today down in the village for the Little League parade… my wife is a beloved teacher so she had to give out some high fives along the route!

52 degrees and sunny sounds like heaven. Its 95 here, ugh.

And you got a Bacon Corn Dog stand in the background, that sounds fun

 

I'll start these in the oven on low; then, I will finish them on the grill.

NBW cross-post. It is a beautiful day. I am relaxing outside, listening to Sum 41, as I prepare for their concert next week in Milwaukee, WI. Which is happening down the street from the Kenny Chesney concert at American Family Field. The bars in that area should be quite interesting before and after the concerts.

Down South "Helles Lager" from Burnt Hickory. My streak of bad beers from these guys still intact. This may just be old, but it's a drain pour.

More True Anomaly, Sixteen Suns Belgian Tripel. Yeah, one of my favorite breweries in Houston, and one of the better American versions of the style IMO.
