    I got into a physical altercation with my toaster. The one often seen in my posts. All I wanted was the Eggo pancake. It would not release it to me, despite gravity and precision tools being involved, over the course of an hour. Emotions between us escalated, until I punched it in the face. Then threw it in the air above cement. Then kicked it. Still no pancake.

    Black Rye IPA, a BIPA from German brewery Lamke Berlin (7.2%).

    Black IPAs are hard to come by, so I can always appreciate a well-made example of the style like this, which makes for a very enjoyable drinking experience despite lacking the resinous pine that's an integral part of the style's flavor profile in my personal opinion.
