...surprisingly, a neighbor across the street about two nights ago poured me a healthy tumbler full of Tin Cup..I had never heard of it (and couldn't recall its name until your post - I knew it was 'sports' themed)...

...anyway, thought it was okay...kind of light overall, so very approachable in that regard...perhaps like a Jim Beam's Basil Haydn (although, for fairly common Jim Beam bourbons, I prefer the higher octane things like Booker's or Baker's 107...

Watching Stanley Tucci in Italy, tuning a guitar and having a beer. Not too shabby.

Used to see plenty of Air Force Bands & Command level bands. We had to help do sound for them at Hickam. Some of their techs would come back & train my guys there. Sadly, one of the most important missions there wasn't Warfighter, but perfect Audio at the Public Events. At least if you asked any O-5 or above. Keep in mind, half of them didn't know how to speak into a mic unless everything was optimal

Love Frank, was the ultimate pro and great artist. Incredible that at 50 yo you would retire. Frank sounds miles better in the 50s than his early career, and the reprise records are simply excellent

My condolences on Kevin, @Blogjackets. That hits close to home, since I will be 45 on our next birthday, and have young children.

Lol. Normally I'll use great value brand Italian dressing lmao. The potato mix was from Aldi but added more herbs myself. A brand new produce spot opened next door to me. Amazing. 5 pounds of bell peppers for $2. Come on. It's great spot. I got a crate of fresh veggies for $8

I would definitely be more on the approachable side of things. I don't like peat. Smoke like mezcal is cool and I like Bookers and Woodford all the way to regular Jim beam. I'm easily entertained

Oh yeah. There is a reason why I can listen, even to his Christmas songs over and over, cause he actually embodied a song, made it his own every time, and never phoned it in.

I love his artistry and I couldn’t agree more.
Btw there are few vocalists that can know and sing just about any song, they are genius at what they do. IMHO Frank, Elvis, Bob D have this gift and it’s absolutely fascinating and if you want to deep dive an artist, these 3 to start are endlessly satisfying.

So here’s a Hefeweizen from the Costco advent calendar. I think I am finally halfway through. I don’t have Hefeweizens that often anymore, but this is decent. I prefer more banana/bubble gum aroma and flavor.

Ray Charles is absolutely in that group for me as well.

Edit, forgot to add this, tell me this isn't the swingingest version of You Are My Sunshine ever
