Busy morning, but I have time for 1 or 2 before. I hooked my brother up with a keg of this new Kettlehead for his daughter and my goddaughter’s college graduation tomorrow. Need to research how good it is. Pretty special. Cheers

 

Lawson's - Double Sunshine (Ruby Red Grapefruit edition)

Expecting some beer-drinking company later on so decided to pre-game with a beer that a lot of you have been praising the last few weeks. And boy does it deserve it.

Am I crazy to think that this is more like Sip Of Sunshine with grapefruit, rather than Double Sunshine with grapefruit?

 

More Kettlehead and not as good as the other, but pretty darn tasty.

 

Today is going to be quite an adventure! I am meeting up with some BAs at the 3 Sheeps Brewing 10th anniversary party, then will attend a Sum 41/Simple Plan pop-punk concert along with one of those BAs and my brother. I spent the last couple days digging up all my The Black Dahlia Murder CDs. I will be blasting those albums on my journey today, after the tragic death of their frontman Trevor Strnad on Wednesday. I met him once in 2008 at the venue I am going to tonight. He enjoyed walking around meeting fans before his band played. He was a great guy. It is a huge loss for the heavy metal community. I will be in the mosh pit at the concert tonight, but I am certain nothing tonight will get me as fired up to mosh as when Trevor would announce before playing this song, "This next song is about Castlevania!"

While getting tattooed yesterday I see a guy with a madbal tattoo and an H20 tatoo so I start a conversation he sees my judge hammers straight edge stuff. The dude ends up telling me he's DMS crew and he is the guy on the Hardcore Lives album cover who spray painted the store front for it.

Hey BA's happy sunny Saturday!

Had to make a quickie trip to the Express Care place this morning - stepped on a nail yesterday and needed to get a tetanus booster....fun stuff!

Enjoying this tasty beer as I contemplate lunch!

 

Lawn mowing and weed trimming completed. It's pretty warm out today - 80 degrees at the moment. I'm pretty thirsty and this NA option is pretty refreshing at the moment.

Very tasty. Mild bitter roast and dark chocolate. A full review over on the Dark Lager tasting thread.

We spent a week camping at Lake George a few summers ago, and I really liked finding the beers from Common Roots. I hope Tavour offers more in the future. Cheers and have a great day y’all!
