Mondays (and Tuesdays) can be a slow go in this thread, so perhaps kicking things off post sunrise here can help the festivities. 46 F here, so continuing with the cellar beer clearing.

    Good day @ChicagoJ and all.

I was up early to go to the lab for a routine check up and blood test. A yearly one actually on the recommendation of the doctor. It’s not mandatory but better safe than sorry.

Happy to claim a clean bill of health. Nothing, nada, rien. Not even a tiny bit of cholesterol or high transaminases.

And to celebrate it would be a bit much but I believe that Duvel can do the trick:

    Cheers..!

Good dsy BAs! Off to another cool start after raining yesterday and last night - 48 degrees currently, and I've shifted to summer shorts mode. Thanks @ChicagoJ for starting the thread and @Shanex, glad to hear that your transaminases are OK. Surprisingly, after 40 years in a hospital lab and nearly nine years of retirement, drinking daily (sometimes to excess), mine run at the high end of "normal". So I guess my liver probably won't be the cause of my eventual demise. If I could die drinking today's New Breakfast Beer, I'd probably be happy:

A hit in NBS BIF #15 from @woemad - a delicious NEIPA from the left coast - rating 4.37, rDev +8.7% - thanks Fred!

Drinking Fullers London Pride. I used to drink this on draft every so often,
but I don't recall ever buying bottles. It's good.

Interesting, I was at the lab and waiting shortly before it opened at 7am (I’m a bit of a maniac…)

Only one man was in front of me and both lab ladies were quite nice, it went smoothly but I drove back home asap for the long expected coffee.

I always like any sane person suggest moderation even though I sometimes have one too many as well, but it’s nice to be clean of any nasty illness such far…

A cool morning but warming quickly. I'm going to walk the dogs before it gets hot.

That would be me. I practiced pediatrics for over 40 years, and retired in 2018.

Peculiar taste at first. Sweet and bitter, but in a different way. Very nice after all!

    Greetings Advocates!

A gorgeous cool, breezy day here in the Lakes Region of NH.

Peak Organic Brewing Company - Super Fresh Double IPA

Can stamped best-before date of 2022-10-17. Tastes super fresh indeed and appears to be a new brew. I added it to the BA database, it's not listed on their website, and I couldn't find a single Google/Untapped results for it. Confusingly, they brew the #1-ranked Imperial Pilsner also named "Super Fresh".

And, for the grill later this afternoon... New York Sirloin dry-brining in kosher salt and MSG. Asparagus marinating in evoo, lemon, garlic, s&p.
