current chicago status / recommendations?

I mean, the answer is goose island. No matter what you like, they will do it with the very best of them.

Their IPAs are…fine, but otherwise, no one does every other style as well as them.

I love Rev and Half Acre, but if you love Belgians, you’re SOL.

Union Logan Square was good; but I have to report that I encountered another wi-fi snag with it.
It definitely has wi-fi: Staff gave me the password, but again, it is only broadcasting to 5G devices. My laptop is a 2.4G device.
Having set up the Broadband Fiber 1GB network here at the abode, I know what is not being done here. Whoever set up the internet did not enable 2.4G devices, and it is easy to set up by someone who knows the router password.
Someone needs to go to 192.168.1.254 {most probably its router I.P. Address} /cgi-bin/home.na, see that the 2.4G network is disabled, and enable it.
It will get another shot. I am giving it more time. But if it fails me again when I do go in there, it can forget about me, period. Between the Logan 11 Bar & Grill, Cafe Moustache, and the original Revolution brewpub, I have multiple solid options around the California "L" station.

 

This is 100% NOT about Union.

Dare I say, good sir, that you could have a good time without WiFi? Perhaps bring a newspaper? Maybe...interact with your fellow patrons? Daydream a bit?

We all have our triggers, for sure, but without the internet I bet you're still down for a good time.
