Absolutely perfect June morning in Chicago. Porch drinking a nice cellar beer to start the day while planning beercapades for later today.

Good day BAs! Thanks to @ChicagoJ for opening today's thread. Looks like another beautiful day here in NW PA - currently 58 degrees and sunny - hopefully it'll warm up later! Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Good morning BAs! Dogs walked and fed this steamy morning, kitchen cleaned…it’s coffee time - KBS Hazelnut:

Bottled 1/27/22. Poured at 52°. This may be my last bottle…I enjoyed them while they lasted…I bought some landscape blocks yesterday to finish off a new border in the front yard; and, I have 6 hard leaf bromeliads (can take full sun) to deal with before it gets too hot today. Cheers and have a wonderful Wednesday y’all!

Yea so I'm a hater and I do not like bud light. I just don't. This is good to me though. Idk what it is. Idk if the boost in abv helps the flavor and texture. This is somehow both lighter and heavier than bud at the same time. Just overall better experience. I would purchase this on the regular. But this is a good beer for what it is.

    Hello BA!

New to me beer. Great aroma full of tropical fruits (grapefruit, citrus, pineapple) and bread crust. Taste is exactly the same but less intensive. Overall a little bit thin and not as bitter as I like it but it's a very delicious beer. Wish I had more than one can :/

    Prost!

Some landscape work done, pavers set, front brick porch spackled,3 bromeliads “planted”…I’m ready for some A/C and a lunch beer - Arkane Aleworks’ BBA “Dessert Eagle (Spumoni)”, the latest BA Imperial Stout in the Dessert series, with chocolate, cherry and pistachio:

Bottled May 2022. Poured at 52°. Creamy dark brown head with a few rocks; brief cap retention renders an island of micro dots; solid medium ring; thin bands of soapy lacing from top of glass to bottom; dusty particles (ground nuts?) cling to side of glass; medium legs on swirl; jet black liquid with ruby edges. Nose is tart dark Michigan cherries, followed by chocolate; minor bourbon notes as beer warms. Taste is dark tart cherries and bittersweet dark chocolate; pistachio/nuttiness is present albeit weak; cherry finish. Smooth, almost creamy feel; full minus body; not adjuncty; very little/no warmth from 10%abv; moderate minus carbonation. Overall, the cherry and chocolate are strong!; tastes like a cherry cordial candy (but not too sweet) with just a dusting of pistachio nuttiness; wish it had more bourbon flavor, but if you like chocolate covered cherries, this stout delivers!

    4.5 | 4.75 | 4.75 | 4.5 | 4.75
Score: 4.71 rDev 0. I added beer to data base.

I like to drink pastry stouts and seek them out nationwide…this beer hits all my check boxes, best new beer I’ve had in 2022. Awesome flavors (if you like cherry, which I do) and not too sweet. Sad I could only buy one bottle…Cheers gang!

Still drinking good. I know it'll get hate. I don't drink for others. @TheIPAHunter knows what I mean. Hitting the spot right now.

The discussion about modelo being the most important beer in America check this album cover. Even in the heavy music community it's popular too and this band is from Boston

    Happy hump day BA's

My first Social Security monthly payments have finally arrived into my bank account - took over 2 months since I applied! Starting to "sink in" that I am really retired.....loving it!

Another Taco NInja from Wolf's Ridge - with some extra lime! Refreshing!

did a nice hike at 8 am with Emma, followed by a solo canoe paddle out into our lake here....warm, but thunderstorms are on the way this afternoon to cool things down a bit!

have had this awesome Sawyer Summersong solo canoe for over 3 decades - fast and fun to paddle!

this is what "retirement" is supposed to feel like - being outside in nature, paddling a nice canoe and fishing before lunch!

this great blue heron was stalking some fish under my dock when I came back....fishing too!

Weather's nasty here on the treasure coast, I'm remedying the awful weather with Barnacled Manatee, an English Barleywine from locals Walking Tree Brewery.

Lunch with the wife at Farm Burger.

To start; fried goat cheese, fresh salad of local summer squash, Georgia Vidalia onion in a mint lemon vinaigrette. Refreshing! And the acidity cuts through that heaviness of the cheese.

Daily special burger which is grassfed beef, crispy pork belly, Swiss, baby greens and a garlic aioli.

That kind of day. Grape soda like quality to this one. You can tell my buddy left these. I like them as well but not my first choice.
