    Scamper Wagtail? Anyone? Anyone?

Focused on a can this afternoon for a review and I have to say I'm impressed with the use of Centennial and Amarillo hops.

I haven't been the biggest fan of Amarillo, but RT has hit a good balance here.

Who knew the current BJCP guidelines had a British Golden Ale? They're saying Hop Back's Summer Lightning started the trend -- and now I see (taste) a real comparison with RT's Scamper Wagtail. Good on 'em.

German/Austrian style beer aficianados -- go, find RTB Vienna. It's pretty spot-on to style... and highly drinkable.

Not exactly Marzen season, but Vienna is sort of a "Marzen Light," so it goes down smooth.

    Had overlooked the label previously.

    RTB Vienna German-Style Lager.

Might be time for some geography discussion in "Lake Zurich."

Ordered some RTB Vienna from Beer on the Wall! Might run over to RT if I really dig it. I really like Goldfinger's version so far, so I pick it up when I can.

Depends on how much you like a to-style Vienna. I grabbed a third 4-pack myself.

Don't expect the hoppiness that looks apparent in Goldfinger's rendition. The RT has just the right spicy hop balance.

Picked up a 4 pack of RT based on the recommendations here. It has displaced Dovetail's Vienna for me as a fave.

I used to like Metropolitan a lot, and I see Goldfinger double-decoction mashes, but RT really blindsided me with how good their version is.

I like a lot of their beers, but the authenticity of this one is just delicious to my lager-loving palate.

Understatement of the year so far:
No hate though, I get it! They are a quality brewery.

Well, if you look at my reviews rDev, I don't appear to like them as much as other reviewers. Just more honest to my palate, I guess.

But yeah, they're a brewery that came out of the blue to hit all the right buttons for what I like.

Can't go wrong with their 4-pack deals on Wednesdays, either!

Some details comin out about the Dortmunder - it’s a collab with Church Street, coming out this Friday - called “Westfalia”. Not sure if it’ll be in cans or on draft at RT, just for now it says draft at Church Street.

Hmm. Never been a big fan of Church Street -- but I said the same about Zum Bier and the collab with them was pretty good. Keeping an open mind.

If there's a label, I wonder if it will sport a VW van?

No VW van unless it's out of frame.

Church Street posted the label on their social media. So definitely packaged. Hope it's distro'd.

Let me be the next person to proclaim that RTB Vienna is a lovely, delightful beer. Very glad that I picked up two 4-packs from Beer Temple this weekend instead of just one. Still looking forward to trying the other new RT beers I picked up on the same run, because everything I've had from them so far has been excellent. I'm beginning to think that they and Art History have overtaken the other major lager players in the area.
